When I took this picture a strong gusty wind was blowing. I was so surprized to notice that only the united states flag was responding to the wind. the other flags acted as if there was no movement in the air.
Perhaps I clicked before the gust of wind had reached the other flags

Kukdeshwar Temple is a 12th century Shiva temple built in hemadpanthi style of architecture. The temple is located in Pur village, about 15 km west of Junnar in Pune District of Maharashtra, India. The Temple and lies on the banks of Kukdi River and the architecture has beautiful carvings inside and on the outer wall. The roof of this temple is in a dilapidated state and some restoration and reconstruction efforts can be seen.
This is the most beautiful and spectacular temple of our trip!
Dating from the 12th century, Bayon Temple is the spectacular central temple of the ancient city of Angkor Thom. The complex is located just to the north of the famous Angkor Wat.
Angkor Thom was built as a square, the sides of which run exactly north to south and east to west. Standing in the exact center of the walled city, Bayon Temple represents the intersection of heaven and earth.
Bayon is known for its huge stone faces of the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, with one facing outward and keeping watch at each compass point. The curious smiling image, thought by many to be a portrait of Jayavarman himself, has been dubbed by some the "Mona Lisa of Southeast Asia." There are 51 smaller towers surrounding Bayon, each with four faces of its own.
Bayon Temple is surrounded by two long walls bearing an extraordinary collection of bas-relief scenes of legendary and historical events. In all, there are are total of more than 11,000 carved figures over 1.2km of wall. They were probably originally painted and gilded, but this has long since faded.
The Leamington Sikh temple is just around the corner from my office - it was built between 2008 and 2009 using £11m raised by local residents. It puts the surrounding buildings to shame - there's a bowling alley next door which rather suffers by comparison.
Kalasan Temple, Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Kalasan (Indonesian: Candi Kalasan), also known as Candi Kalibening, is an 8th-century Buddhist temple in Indonesia. According to the Kalasan inscription dated 778 AD, written in Sanskrit using Pranagari script, the temple was erected by the will of Guru Sang Raja Sailendravamçatilaka (the Jewel of Sailendra family) who succeeded to persuade Maharaja Tejapurnapana Panangkaran (in other part of the inscription also called as Kariyana Panangkaran) to construct Tarabhavanam, a holy building for the goddess (boddhisattvadevi) Tara. According to the date of this inscription, Kalasan temple is the oldest among temples built in the Prambanan Plain. The temple stands on square 14.20 meters sub-basement. The temple plan is cross-shaped 12 corners polygon. According to the Kalasan inscription, the temple once houses the large (probably reaching 4 meters tall) statue of the Boddhisattvadevi Tara. By the design of the throne, most probably the statue of the goddess was in seated position and made from bronze. Now the statue is missing, probably the same fate as bronze Buddha statue in Sewu temple, being looted for scrap metal over centuries.

Brihadeeswarar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located in Thanjavur in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is also known as RajaRajeswara Temple Rajarajeswaram and Peruvudayar Temple.

Fact: "Built in 1530, the 9th year of Emperor jiajing’s reign of the Ming dynasty, in a round shape with a double-eave roof, and named first the Hall for Appeasing Gods, it was the main hall of the Celestial Treasure House of the Circular Mound Altar, housing the Gods’ tablets to be used at the ceremony of worshipping Heaven. It was renamed the Imperial Vault of Heaven in 1538 and rebuilt into the present shape in 1752."
This white-topped temple was originally built in 1681 but, like so many other structures, was rebuilt after it was badly damaged in the 1934 earthquake. It may have been considerably altered at that time as the temple is a strange combination of styles. It starts with a Newari-style floor, above which is an Indian shikhara-style upper storey, topped by a spire shaped like a kalasa (water vase), indicative of a female deity [lonelyplanet.com]
The Bayon is a Khmer temple at Angkor in Cambodia. Built in the late 12th century or early 13th century as the official state temple of the Mahayana Buddhist King Jayavarman VII, the Bayon is at the centre of Jayavarman's capital, Angkor Thom.

Project 365 #26, 01-26-2008 ....the Louisville Kentucky temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, just outside of Crestwood on Hwy. 22. I'm not a mormon but absolutely love this temple from an architectural stand point, and have been wanting to get a photo of it for some time. Now if I could just sweet talk someone into letting me go in there and snap a few! ;)
The temple at 1710 W. Cornelia Ave. was built for the Free Masons in 1915. Buddhists acquired the property, now a rundown Pentecostal church, in 1992 and took two years to renovate it for use.
Not wanting to lose out on any temple watching, and that the border crossing had the usual street markets and suspiciously cheap goods, we left the border crossing and headed up and up and up to Wat Tham Pha Chom which overlooks the Northern Most of Thailand Park.
The buildings and ornaments seem to be there for the view from the Myanmar side. It was all grand, brightly painted, and flashy from the outside.
