A macaque monkey at Mount Popa near Bagan, Myanmar (Burma), tries to open a water bottle stolen from a hapless temple visitor.
This temple is located in a roofed mall. The mall itself is very unique, interesting. A street lined with shops but with roof over them.
A sepia toned version of the Salt Lake City temple take shortly after a snow storm. I have had this printed on Endura Metallic paper and it looks incredible.
It was cloudy and not the best lighting condition. However, I was rewarded with a nice composition of a painter at the foreground.
The 19th century Hanseshwari Temple with ornate arches. The main deity is the blue neem (= margosa)-wood idol of the four-armed goddess Hanseshwari, a manifestation of Goddess Kali. The temple is 21M high and has 13 towers. The peak of each tower is shaped as a lotus flower. Built according to Tantric principles, this five-storey shrine follows the structure of a human body - Ira, Pingala, Bajraksha, Sushumna and Chitrini

A Mithraeum (Latin pl. Mithraea), sometimes spelled Mithreum, is a large or small Mithraic temple, erected in classical antiquity by the worshippers of Mithras.
The Mithraeum was either an adapted natural cave or cavern, or a building imitating a cave. When possible, the Mithraeum was constructed within or below an existing building, such as the Mithraeum found beneath Basilica of San Clemente in Rome. While a majority of Mithraea are underground, some feature open holes in the ceiling to allow some light in The site of a Mithraeum may also be identified by its singular entrance or vestibule, which stands opposite from an apse-shaped wall in which a pedestal altar at the back stood, often in a recess. Also its "cave", called the Spelaeum or Spelunca, with raised benches along the side walls for the ritual meal. Many mithraea that follow this basic plan are scattered over much of the Roman Empire's former territory, particularly where the legions were stationed along the frontiers (such as Britain). Others may be recognized by their characteristic layout, even though converted as crypts beneath Christian churches.Most Mithraea can be dated between 100 B.C. and A.D. 300, mostly in the Roman Empire.

This is the second temple on the site. The first, begun in 1841, was not yet finished when Joseph Smith was killed in 1844. Brigham Young continued work on the first floor so that it could be dedicated, even as he was making plans to lead the Mormons to Utah.
The original temple was heavily damaged by a tornado in 1850. The townspeople used its materials for construction over the years until the town destroyed it completely in 1865. The current building was constructed in 1999-2002.

These temples were in a state of ruin untill ASI took charge in 1957. Many of the temples had become homes for villagers. many statues, stone blocks had been taken away or damaged by locals or art thieves.
ASI has done a commendable job of renovating these temples.

Temple Church was built by the Knights Templar as their English headquarters and consecrated in 1185 by Patriarch Heraclius of Jerusalem.
