This is the PCB from one of my Varsity projects. The board here used to have a Microprocessor that decoded the pot voltage to a digital signal and then used this and three temperature sensors to pulse water from two solenoids into a plastic tub.
In N0n-G33kSp33k, You turned the dial to the desired temperature and it ran a baby bath for you.
Never saw this as a sculpture before...

Top crock is warming a water kefir @ 75F. This was started originally from a commercial bottle and is now going strong in it's own (no grains). First batch had an apple finish this batch will be orange. Middle crock is warming a half gallon of ginger beer with tumeric. It is alive and bubbly. The Elevated Temperature Syringe permits forming drops of materials which have melting points as high as 230° C. May be used with Chamber 100-07 and Cover 100-09 for controlled environment studies. Test materials contact only glass and stainless steel. A Temperature Controller p/n 100-50 is included. This accessory is ideal for liquids with high melting points such as solder and polymers. The ramé-hart Model 295 Automated Goniometer / Tensiometer is identical to Model 290 except that the stage is upgraded to the Advanced 3-axis Stage. The Advanced Stage permits fine and coarse vertical adjustment and has a modular leveling stage with support for the optional Environmental Chamber (p/n 100-07) and Temperature Controller (p/n 100-50).
