The common sandpiper is a smallish wader with contrasting brown upperparts and white underparts. It habitually bobs up and down, known as 'teetering', and has a distinctive flight with stiff, bowed wings. Its presence is often betrayed by its three-note call which it gives as it flies off.

Onto Williamsburg's other Harris Teeter, and what I'd consider my local location! It's basically a carbon copy of a location I documented last year in Suffolk, which is a few months older than this one. Amongst some differences is that this store has a booth dedicated to freshly made pizzas, different artwork/photos in the produce department, a flat overhang above the wine/beer department as opposed to the rounded one in Suffolk, and features Starbucks.

Finally, another Harris Teeter grand opening! This is the second former Farm Fresh location to open after the Strawbridge store in December, and there should be about six more to come. This one was weird, though, because the actual ribbon cutting and opening was held at 4pm last night, which is later than I wanted to be on this side of the water. Not to worry, though, since the festivities continued into today. You can see by comparing this and the Strawbridge store that both have totally different décors. That store seemed to be more of a rush job and I think the décor seen here is reflective of what to expect at the other new stores opening this spring.
