Happy 90th Birthday to the matriarch of Geauga County genealogy, Jeannette (Teeter) Grosvenor. Friends, volunteers and staff members turned out today at Chardon Library to wish her well and thank her for years of meticulous dedication to tracking down family histories.

The Catskill Mountain House was one of many huge hotels in the Catskills before cars became the "big thing" and no one wanted to go to a resort you had to take a horse and carriage up a mountain to get to. The people on the left there are standing right around where the front door would be.

This location opened on May 2nd, 2001; it was originally a Winn-Dixie, which opened on August 29th, 1985 and closed on June 4th, 2000.
Recently I made a typo in IM, spelling "teeter totter" "teeter tooter". Now, see-saws seem like the funniest thing in the universe.
