Early morning walk around the golf course at our hotel Sandburn Hall in Floxton - about nine miles outside York. Did not take my clubs with me unfortunately (under strict instructions from She who must be obeyed) so I had to make do with a nice Yorkshire cuppa tea instead.

A Flickr Friday submission on the subject "Tee". In this selfie, I am wearing a tee-shirt, carrying a picture of me wearing a tee shirt, on which there is a picture...
This is a long-term project which has already gone through several iterations,
Freightliner class 66/6 no. 66623 'Lest We Forget' passes Copmanthorpe on 25th June 2025 heading a STP working of box wagons, 4Z32 from Gascoigne Wood sidings via Hunslet Yard and Castleford to South Bank Tees Dock.
She was the local pulp and paper mill harbour tug for many years. She was built for MacMillan-Bloedel in 1979, eventually being owned by Catalyst Paper after all the corporate changes at Mac-Blo. In 2016 the Tee-Shu required an expensive overhaul and rather than do the work Catalyst sold her on. She now operates out of Prince Rupert as the W.Pearce for Wainwright Marine. Shown here running light on Malaspina Strait, heading back to the mill.

The 16c (repaired 1771) bridge over the River Tees linking Barnard Castle and Startforth. Traditionally the Tees was the boundary between Count Durham and the North Riding of Yorkshire. With the rearrangement of county boundaries many years ago Startforth was incorporated into County Durham.
Another bridge across The River Tees - this time the Tees Newport Bridge which is a vertical lift bridge that doesn't do any vertical lifting any longer. More info from the good folks at Wikipedia:-

I quite like that the foliage matches the colour of the bridge at this time of year :-)
Un transito rievocativo: fino al 1974 due elettrotreni RAe 1050 delle FFS assicuravano quotidianamente il servizio TEE Milano-Parigi e Parigi-Milano, passando proprio per Varzo e il traforo del Sempione.
The Tees Newport Bridge is a vertical-lift bridge spanning the River Tees a short distance upriver from Tees Transporter Bridge, linking Middlesbrough with the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, in the northeast of England. It was completed in 1934
Work started in July 2014 to paint the bridge Red and Silver to mark its 80th anniversary. The work was originally planned to take 6 weeks, but was completed behind schedule and over-budget in October 2015. The main cause for the delay was that the bridge had not been maintained by Stockton Council for 15 years, and much of the steel work was in a poor condition.
A rare sortie on to the golf course today, whilst waiting on one of the tees looked up and saw silhouette potential thanks to the light and a massive hill (the hill I had to get my shot up I should add...)
I will preface this by saying that I am NOT a golfer, however, I think "tee time" is appropriate for this occasion. Furthermore, I researched the history of the Dunroamin/Hardwick Crossing Country Club, but got bored and gave up on posting the elongated, plagiarized story here. At any rate, MCER 1750 is southbound on PA-2 passing the golf course in Hardwick, MA on a warm February 21, 2022, one of a few takes on this day with a couple of good friends.
103 113-7 mit dem TEE 91518 (Koblenz-Lützel Mitte - Koblenz-Lützel Nord) am 14.06.2015 bei Oberwinter.
Viewed from the first tee at Hunley Golf Club, Freightliner Class 66/5 No. 66547 eases away from the token exchange at Crag Hall Box and begins the 1 in 66 climb to Hunt Cliff working 6F32, the 09:27 Boulby Mine – Middlesbrough (FHH) loaded potash hoppers on 24th October 2024. The track to the left of the box goes into Skinningrove Steel Works while the double track (passing loop) is the line to Boulby Mine.
The Tees Barrage is a barrage across the River Tees just upriver of Blue House Point in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees in North East of England and is used to control the flow of the river, preventing flooding and the effects of tidal change. The Tees Barrage comprises a river barrage, road bridge, footbridge, barge lock, fish pass and white water course. The waters above the barrage are permanently held at the level of an average high tide and are used for watersports such as canoeing, jet skiing, dragonboat racing and incorporates a 1 km rowing course. The barrage is accessible by road only from Thornaby-on-Tees as there is very limited road access to the north bank of the Tees.
