At the 29th of April 2017 an interesting train surprised me during my stay at the track through the beautiful valley of the Rhine river. A historic TEE train hauled by E 10 1309 was scheduled from Dortmund to Heidelberg. I took position near St. Goarshausen. The train passed my spot earlier than i had expected so some shadows were still to be seen on the track. Nevertheless I am quite satisfied with the result - you can have the illusion that this picture was made in the late 1960ies. Next to me there were standing two nice ladies equipped with cameras by their husbands who were taking pictures near Lorch instead. I hope everything went fine for them also.

Along the river Tees. The far riverbank has been stripped of undergrowth after February's storms and high river levels. A lot of shingle banks have moved around.

Taken on a manual macro lens just to see what its like for landscapes. That twisted pile of rusting steel cable has been there for years and will probably outlast us all.

I was having fun doing a few tees for my friends and me.

I'm considering do more to sell them, what do you think about?

Thanks!

For this image I used an out of focus "Pears Soap" advert which was colour painted onto a metal plate to serve as a background. The T light didn't sit snug in the glass so I filled the glass with water to get the correct level, I then used an A4 silver card as a base for reflection.

Tea or Coffee, best way to promote starbucks, but wrong color

I have visited this location on 4 seperate occasions recently, the other three were at Sunset and my camera was pointing in to other direction trying to get a shot of Roseberry Topping with Heather in the foreground and a winding path leading up to it - sounds ideal doesnt it, but for one reason or another i just couldn't get a composition I was happy with - the scene just looks to busy to my eye.

So for the final attempt I went for a sunrise. It had been raining all day previously but the forecast for sun up was clear so I though I might as well give it a shot. The scene I had in mind did benefit from much better light but I still wasn't happy, so as the sun continued to climb so did I.

As I reach captain cooks Monument I was greeted with this fabulous view of the Tees Valley which was crying out for a Panorama. Not the shot I had planned but still worth getting up at 4:30 in the morning for. Hope you like.

CJ said a number of DB66s were pictured stored in Tees Yard over the weekend, so as I was passing within 1/2 mile on the way home from Hartlepool it would be rude not to have a nosey. The sun was just setting and light was bouncing off the loco sides.

The three other locos lined up behind the gypsum wagons were headed up by 66097 which had worked up to Skinningrove two days earlier, so presumably not stored.

The two perceived us and promptly gave the young cervid himself airs. That includes also to stick out the tongue, what looked a bit funny. To avoid to provoke him I din't return the favour. ;-)

I'm not sure how this works but this man was not to be put off by the fog. I reckon plenty of spare balls would be required.
