Looking South down 8th Street NW from the Convention Center. The building in the center with the classical architecture is the Reynolds Center, which houses the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the National Portrait Gallery.

The mirror-windowed modern office building in the foreground is TechWorld (thanks to Muckraker for the ID!). It is straddling a plaza that used to be a block of 8th Street NW.
