Stand face to face with your God

Ok, let's see. Insert Plug B into Tab Y.

Wait, which is this? Tab Y or Plug B? God, these directions don't make sense. Where are the transistors?

Uberfaff tonight as I was in the mood after a long week. Macro rings for the server innards, lit obliquely from right and left in red and blue then from behind with my torch. Lens cap on and removed the macro rings and put the Pentax back on. Tripod 2 set up about 6 feet in front of the camera with a bracket mounted on it to hold the LP Brushes circle blade. I rotated the blade 360 degrees then the camera 90 with the Ryus Lightworks torch on full power and super strobey mode. Repeated 4 times then tilted the blade and did it again but started from plus 45 degrees. Lens cap on and moved the tripod a couple of feet closer, changed focus then did an 8 way rotation of the green light pen. Lens cap on again and changed aperture to f5.6, removed the cap and swept the 3d animation courtesy of Hugo B from left to right to add a little texture.

Raw conversion in LR with some minor tweaks and a 16:9 crop.

Out in the wilds with Chris T tomorrow and I can't wait...it's been too long.

Grog is an alter alter-ego of mine over on DP Challenge. He started out as a funny way of leaving comments on other's challenge entries . He's now taken on a life of his own. I did this for a contest subject of "operator", where the idea was to shoot a stock photo of an operator waiting to take your call, like you see in so many ads. I just couldn't take such a topic seriously.

The new guy on the floating staff is a bit odd, but we never have any complaints on his calls...

This is my office through August, and maybe beyond.

I had the foresight to buy a new Windows 10 gaming computer and printer just before my workplace shut down except for essentials. if I hadn't, I would have been stuck with a 10-year-old Windows 7 PC, no working printer, and an old Windows 10 PC with a dead motherboard that I never got around to fixing. And I wouldn't be able to cast to my 55-inch 4K LG OLED TV for staff meetings.

It turns out working from home is more work than working at work. More hours and more tasks to support others working from home and students taking online classes. Now staff meetings are daily and we've taken to using costumes and Snapchat filters.

Hi hi and tank you for calling HK Tech Support, how may I help you today?

My brother's laptop had an HD failure and I discovered his battery was expanding. Got an SSD and a replacement battery.

My new challenge is to give a try to conceptual photography. Lots of moving parts to focus on in PS, but I enjoy the possibilities. Here is Tammy and Michaelle providing technical support as they do day in, day out. Thanks girls for participating.

There's nothing better than a nice phone call in the morning. Good coffee is one of the benefits of working from a home office.

Marlene, avvisata della crisi, cerca lavoro!

Yesterday I went to the Apple store for tech support and this is the first person I saw. She's 21 months old and could barely climb on her round cushion but she knew what she wanted to do with the IPad. Maybe she could answer my questions when she's old enough to talk!

"Let's try rebooting again?"

Aaarrrgh!

My Dad was an audio engineer with C B S TV. He was the “go to” guy for all the difficult remote TV events. He worked closely with Walter Cronkite to get the sound “ just right” for TV viewers. This is a view of the CBS control room. My Dad is the guy in the back with a partially bald head and short sleeves. He was there for all the space launches ( and so many other amazing events). Walter Cronkite had a buzzer on his console that said “Sam”. My dad’s name was Sam Laine.

Month ago, at February 18th, my russian website www.makhmutov.com was down. I've bought domain registration from Google first at 2008.

At this year i've paid for prolongation as usual, but when it was date, domain was turned off. If you want to talk with Google techsupport, you must pay additional $50 per year for so-called "Google Business account". Techsupport tried to solve their problems for 10 days, and nothing was changed after they claimed "your problem is solved and domain is working".

Now i am quitted Google and had transfered my domain to another registrator. They quickly fixed what Google done. At last, month (!) later, website is online.

Waiting for help at the Apple Store Genius Bar.

I need help debugging this. The image is a screenshot of Word 2011 bug effects that are standing in the path of a book am finishing. Detail: I am using Microsoft® Word for Mac 2011, Version 14.21.3 (111085). While the Print view looks fine, and clicking on any text shows the correct style in the Styles toolbox, the Outline view has big problems. Lines of normal text, regardless of formatting, show up in the Outline view as Level 1. They also show up as Level 1 or 2 in the Document Map Pane sidebar, which is the pane on the left. I use this pane to navigate around the book, which is close to 300 pages and over 80,000 words. I can fix the problem by clicking on the line of text incorrectly seen by word as Heading 1, clearing the formatting, and re-formatting it if necessary. But that takes me about an hour each time this happens, and it's a huge PITA. Word's AutoRecovery works rarely, and when it does, the AutoRecovered file has the same problem. FWIW, I don't use any fancy formatting, instead relying on Word's own default Headings and other styles. Also, if I save in Outline view, ALL TEXT gets turned into Level 1, and the document is hosed. I just have to go back to the last good copy. Any clues or help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. And please don't tell me not to use Word. It's a requirement for getting the book in, and if I could avoid it, I would.

I needed to destroy the hard drive in this laptop. Too much incriminating evidence on it! Check out the 486 SX processor - wow that's REAL fast.
