Lasers in the Cataract Gorge at Launceston? Holy light rays (John) Batman? As part of the MONA FOMA 2021 celebrations, and with the easing of strict restrictions in Tasmania, last weekend we had a presentation of Robin Fox's AQUA LUMA.

Twelve-metre-high water jets erupted in time with the subharmonic frequencies of a new electronic composition. Overhead, high-powered lasers traced geometrical patterns in the mist and finally enveloped the audience in a canopy of light and sound.

This was such a great moment on the Fusion Festival. It was a giant wooden puppet walking through the crowd. It really gave us all goosebumps.
