The media provides us with a lot of entertainment, but it should not be our sole source of entertainment. Go out and enjoy the outdoors once in a while. Interact with groups and go to events so that you do not stay stuck in your room or office. It is fun to enjoy movies, technology, television, and the internet but self control should be addressed so that you do not become addicted to these things.

E-publishing has created a demand for digital reading devices all over the world. Instead of purchasing multiple textbooks for disadvantaged children in impoverished countries it is easier to get an e-reader and download all the educational materials needed. Bringing technology to these classrooms creates a more tech savvy society and "improves writing and reading skills" of children. The "deluge of information" is paramount in advancing civilizations as we see with these two boys learning on this e-reader in Africa.

Hovercars!!!
This week's theme in my 52 week project is "Technology," and I've got quite the find! Ladies and gentlemen, I'm proud to announce that the day has finally come where we don't need wheels on our cars anymore! I found what I can only assume is the first prototype hovercar to hit the market. You can see the jets below it and notice the lack of wheels. I cannot wait for this new technology to become readily available as I'm sure it will make driving all that more fun. I mean, just look at the awesome colors these new hovercars come in! It looks like we won't need headlights anymore either! Oh I can't wait....this will be so much fun!!!

This morning I took this photo with the Sony QX1. It is a lens that is a camera but looks like a lens. The camera settings and shutter were being controlled with the iPhone in my hand. I edited this image with two camera apps called Camera+ and VSCOcam. I'm often excited, confused and amazed by the capacity and speed at which technology has captured our attention. I'm grateful for the advancements and all of the new techie toys my family and I get to play with but most thankful for the moments I'm able to capture in life with the same speed and capacity as technology advances. . Thank you scientists, engineers, pioneers, programmers, artists, and all those who make the advancements possible.
