Technologically, this coupé brings together everything that made Subaru so special. An aluminum turbocharged flat-4 engine, AWD, and four independently suspended wheels. In addition, the 4x4 version featured electronically adjustable air suspension. The body shape was certainly controversial and emphasized that this was no ordinary car. With a drag coefficient of 0,29, it was among the most aerodynamic cars of its time. It was a forerunner of the brand's successful rally cars. This rare appearance is unique for another reason : it is completely original and has only 12.000 km on the ododmeter.

POST-GROWTH: When Neural invited us to co-edit the present issue, they instantly got us onboard. At Disnovation.org we’ve been critically investigating the cult of technological innovation and the ideology of growth, as well as their long term consequences on society, with a strong interest in the popularization of alternative, non techno-solutionist, or non growth-oriented voices, promoting situated practices, and stimulating imaginaries of post-growth societal transitions.
If we take some of the current crises: climate breakdown, ecosystem collapse, peak oil, and their multiple geo-political and social consequences; it can be observed that public sensibilities around these topics are noticeably shifting, along with increasing anxiety and concern, across different age groups, disciplines, regions, and political orientations.
This disquiet is exacerbated by the formidable complexity and variety of specialized knowledge involved in comprehending these threatening circumstances. Popular opinion tends to focus on the myriad of consequences rather than the root causes, dynamics, and societal values that may have fostered these crises. The major media platforms are themselves party to a growth-imperative orthodoxy which over-determine the prospects and proposals they proffer. The result is a general sense of overwhelming dread, bewilderment and impotence.
This Neural issue is part of a larger set of efforts to confront this situation and cultivate better understandings of the deep causes of these challenges in the context of an accelerated transformation of the sociosphere and the biosphere.
This Post-growth issue compiles a set of critical and radical art projects, principles and narratives aimed at reconnecting our modes of perception of the growth crisis with political, social and physical proposals, in order to ground the debate, to nuance the narratives, to widen the perspectives and to cultivate strategies for socio-political transition.
It presents artistic methods towards a deeper experience and understanding of the current ecosystemic, economic, and energetic crises, as well as tools to stimulate the imagination of scenarios for desirable transitions towards a livable future no longer organized under the prime imperative of economic or energy growth.

The technological advances of the last decade have radically transformed the way that we are digitally connected with other people. Laptops, smartphones and other emerging technologies are being all the more and faster incorporated in our physical environment resulting in the integration of technology both in our interpersonal relationships and in our sense of personal identity. In the realm of the way and the extend that we interact with each other the changes are mind blowing. In the past we could only communicate either by meeting face-to-face, over the phone or by written communication (letters). Nowadays we are connected with our families, our friends, our colleagues and acquaintances 24/7 through the use of all existing digital portals. This allows for constant flow of communication and more “tied” interpersonal relations.
As far as personal identity goes, in the past we only had to control it through our immediate representation but today our personality has a digital extension. This means that we have to manage and curate our online personas with the same diligence as our offline. In truth this can be very challenging because our online identity is an amalgam created by different platforms that all need our attention.

Çoğu yapay uydular Dünya’nm 160 Km. yükseğinde yörüngeye oturacak biçimde uzaya fırlatılır. Uyduların bu denli yükseğe atılmasının nedeni, havanın ya da atmosferin direncinden sakınmak içindir. Uydu daha aşağıya atılacak olursa, havanın direnci uydunun hızını keserek yörünge hızının altına düşürür. O zaman uydu düşmeye başlar. Aşağı doğru düştükçe havanın direnci de artar. Havanın uyduya sürtünmesi do-layısıyla meydana gelen büyük sıcaklık, sonunda uydunun yanmasına neden olabilir. Uzaydan bü-yük bir hızla Dünya atmosferine giren meteor-lar (göktaşları) da sürtünme dolayısıyla yanar. The artists embed archival footage and 3D scanned elements within game-engine and AI-generated pixel landscapes to traverse new geopolitical imaginaries: with portable ‘backpack laboratories,’ the crop field, smelting furnace, forest or river becomes a mobile laboratory, a workshop.
