We took a break from the hike to see some high-quality rock art. We hadn't seen anything with lines this smooth before, and the owl around the corner was even better.
November 25, 2011: The day's hike: the Amasa Back Trail. Another popular one, another "somewhere new" for us. We lived within day trip distance of Moab for years and visited about once month, and there's so much we haven't seen yet. With what little we did in the area that day, we've left a lot more exploration for next time.Yes!

Thanksgiving time again, and we were off to find somewhere different to hike.
This year: Moab.
I'm extending the break from posting the summer photos to post the ones from our Thanksgiving trip to Moab. Sunny, (relatively) warm, great hiking, a good getaway.
At the rate I'm going, it's gonna take until February to get the summer photos up anyway, so why not take a break and post something timely?

Bravant une bien triste météo, la Techno Parade 2013, qui fête quinze ans de combat en faveur des musiques électroniques, a mené à Paris son joyeux cortège entre la place de la République et la place d'Italie, via la Bastille. Des dizaines de milliers de personnes y ont assisté.

Im Mai 1949 ergänzt Mercedes-Benz sein Personenwagenprogramm um den neu entwickelten Typ 170 S, der gegenüber dem Basismodell 170 V geräumiger, repräsentativer und Komfortabler ist. Neben der Limousine werden 2 luxuriöse Zweitürer angeboten : das Cabriolet B mit 4-5 Sitzen und das noch exklusivere 2+2-sitzige Cabriolet A.
In der Zeit des beginnenden Wirtschaftswunders stehen beide Varianten für höchstens automobilen Luxus. Dies zeigt sich in der gediegenen Ausführung mit edlen Materialien und höchster Verarbeitungsqualität, es kommt aber auch im Preis und in der Produktionsstückzahl zum Ausdruck. Das Cabriolet A wird bis Ende 1951 nur 830mal gebaut, vom Cabriolet B entstehen 1.603 Exemplare. Die äusserlich fast identischen Nachfolgemodelle, die ab 1951 als Typ 220 an den Start gehen, bestechen nicht mer durch ihren luxuriösen Innenraum, sie zeigen dank ihres 80 PS starken Sechszylindermotors auch sehr ansprechende Fahrleistungen.
