In 1916 the pioneer platoon of each infantry battalion was expanded into a Technical Company (technische Kompagnie) of three 72-man platoons. Pioneers and sappers of the Infantry Technical Companies were equipped with searchlights, trench mortars, hand grenades, and portable flamethrowers.
These are pioneers of the Infantry Technical Company of Infantry Regiment No. 91. Two wear the M1915 field-gray service jacket (Waffenrock) with standing collar, while the rest are uniformed in the M1916 field-gray duty blouse (Einheitbluse) with stand-and-fall collar.
Most of the collars display the cherry-red facing stripes (Paroli) of the engineers and the metal pioneer badge consisting of a crowned anchor with an exploding grenade and lightning bolts.

I was given three rolls of 35mm Kodak Technical Pan (expired 2002). I hunted around for a development scheme and finally settled on this. Mostly because I had Rodinal. I'm only posting in case some of you still have some in the fridge.
16 EI
Rodinal 1+150 for thirteen minutes
Agitate with 30 seconds initial inversions, then 3 inversions at 10 minutes,7 minutes,4 minutes, and 1minute counting down. (every 3 minutes)
Regular stop, fix and hypo.
I used 5ml of Rodinal in 750ml of H2O. That gives less than the recommended 10ml of Rodinal but the negatives really look great (full tone scale).
I had to figure out a curve profile as I felt (and still do) that the midtones were not right. Technical Pan is also a dust magnet; lots of healing tool. Even with Rodinal there is virtually no grain.

The aim was to show Group Captain Sara Mackmin how both the MRT and SAR Helicopter work closely together to help rescue people. The training took part in Chapel Stile, Langdale; Lake district.
Dated 7th July 2013.
This imagery has been cleared by the MCO.

Technically, it's just over 6 months late in being posted, but this shot (thanks to my good friend Sue for being a bi-pod!) was taken at Katie and Adam's engagement party at the Book Club. LOVE THAT WALL.
This is vaguely awkward, and really not a favourite (if I'm honest!) but I really do want to finish my 52 weeks of my last year of being in my 20s vaguely in time!
So, here you go. Rules bent again, but fun regardless! :D
