What: The transit of Venus set against a solar disc of exquisite surface detail featuring a few small sunspots, thread-like filaments, granulation (small cellular features), and prominences along the limb.
How: Lunt LS60THa/B1200FT telescope equipped with Basler Ace acA1300-30gm/g camera and Sky View Pro mount, manually tracked
Image processing using AutoStakkert2 for stacking SER files, Microsoft Image Composite Editor for stitching images (two for the surface and two for the protuberances), and Fitswork4.

A very small walker based on the Theo Jansen linkage. It cannot steer but can walk extremely quickly (given a good surface to walk on).

Here's one that I built in Bricksmith some time back, but just recently got all the right parts to build it for real. It uses a simple leg mechanism that was mostly just an excuse to use those cool bent liftarms in old brown. And, of course, some cheese slopes.

Trying to learn a new technic. Doesnt go very well. Need to use it as silhouettes in a sunset, I am about to do. Now I lost confidence. Stupid. Getting old :-/
