The Machine Spirits are restless!

Where you cant quite see the amount of grey on there due to the multiple lights shining upon it.

Work in progress shot of the second Thunderogrefire.

My own (obviously) Funky Gibbons space marines. The painting is not the best but I put them on for teh lulz. I tried to hide the techmarine at the back with depth of field because that is fairly poor. I had to paint all the tails out of the logos when I realised that gibbons don't have tails. You can see the old style rank insignia from the Rogue Trader rulebook on the captain and sergeant.

Left to right: Sergeant Brooke-Taylor, Techmarine Garden in jungle camo, Captain T.E.A.P'ot in urban camo, trooper standard bearer, medic Dr. Grayboots, trooper veteran, trooper with flamer.

These (apart from the two at the back) are plastic marines from the box set in Mk VI armour - much nicer design than the later Darth Vader robot style IMO!

this is my custom made iron priest. There are no tech marine parts used. I made the backpack from a piece of a landraider targeting thingy and the servo arm is a bunch of random bits including most obviously the claws from a vindicator. He is magnetized so i can stick him on a thunderwolf or bike as needed.

Day off work yesterday dealing with problems arising from the builders pulling out and putting in a new kitchen. The upside is I had plenty of hobby time left over afterwards.

That's the Stormtalon built, the rocket pods have been moved to the roof, and the chin turret has been cut back and is now recessed further into the main body of the ship.

Just need to take some greenstuff and tidy up the gaps and it will be ready for painting.

The weapons, canopy, and wing turbines all seperate for painting, and the Techmarine pilot is on the sprue waiting for paint before he gets added to the cockpit.

finally techmarine has some company : )

Recently I have seen a lot of people ignore the colour schemes of the adaptus when painting techmarines, but for me the maroon/scarlet colour evokes instant recognition for a techmarine so I couldn't deviate, plus with me playing blood angels I wanted him to be a slightly different shade of red, I kept the servo harness pretty much metal as I wanted him to have a more utilitarian look, and let's face it sometime less is more, tried lighting effects on the eyes but it didn't go so great and the power axe is supposed to be a green crystal, now ive glossed it so it looks better I'll have to retake the photo

This is my converted Imperial Fist Techmarine on a bike.

Test Conversion for a MotF with authentic Space Crusade (MB/Games Workshop) Conversion Beamer (Front Shot). Also contains parts from the Techmarine w/Servo Harness and Tank Sgt. Chronus.

Too fragile for my liking.
