Did anyone say life was fair? Not when you're a little mouse and are caught by one of the members of our Dangerous Duo. The usual scenario is that Pip (on the left) catches the victim, and after some play-time Billy takes over and eats the deceased.
I couldn't get a better shot than this.
It's amazing to watch the Great Blue Herons as they choose a nesting site, a mate and start building their nest together. Usually the female guards their site, the male finds the material and they both arrange it on the nest.

Fishing is not a solitary endeavor—it is a community’s heartbeat, a shared struggle, and a tradition passed down through generations. This image captures a powerful moment of unity and determination as a fishing community in Pagudpud, Ilocos, Philippines, prepares to launch their boat to intercept an approaching school of fish. The golden light of late afternoon adds warmth and a sense of time to the narrative. The group effort—young and old working together—conveys themes of resilience, cooperation, and the traditional way of life dependent on the sea.
