so many people dropped by for a wash and so many more simply donated money as they walked or drove by. it was amazing and so much fun. a few people actually brought their other cars and even called friends. it was amazing to see people we had never met rally behind such a great cause.

This 5k Run/Walk was a day of inspiration, hope, and support for the fight against pancreatic cancer. Riverside Park was a sea of purple as more than 1500 participants gathered at the start line.

A group of local baseball players are attempting to break the world record for the longest baseball game and raise money for the Alberta Cancer Foundation. They have been playing since September 2 and will finish today on September 5. If you are interested in learning more about the event

The Hip's lead singer, Gord Downie, has terminal cancer(www.thehip.com/news/an-important-message-from-the-band/) The band just finished a farewell tour earlier this summer. 50 Mission Cap is one of my favourite songs by the band and like almost everything they did the song is quirky and very Canadian.
