this bride apparently hopped right out of the bridal limo to cook her man a meal, burning a hole in her ironcast pan in the process. at this point, mother can't help.
this doll has the copyright date 1966 on her lower back (tramp stamp!), but she doesn't look like the christie that was released then. found at the meadowlands flea market (near giants stadium in nj).
so neat...except the sewing machine really just melts fabric together with latex and sew magic "special sauce". as i failed to notice, there is no thread involved. includes several patterns for barbie and rag dolls, but no original fabric (boo!). yet worth my dollar at trader jack's.
someone colored this in a mary poppins coloring book, 1964, that i bought from trader jacks. i like to think it was a shattered child, disillusioned by dick van dyke's performance in said movie.
i love this guy, and i've seen so many of him that i can't afford. i would adore posts of his type. i assume this guy was meant to hang on flower pots at christmas time.

i bought this at an estate sale in pittsburgh. apparently the woman made it to store string, which you would pull through the hole, giving the elephant its tail.
it makes a great hand bag, around 10 x 7 inches.
