I found this delicate cups on the local second hand- store. They had the Fukugawa Porcelain Factory mark with mount fuji and two lines under depicting a river. They were very thin and as you can see the sun shines right through.
Here is what I sent out for the teacup exchange. It's a turn of the century ironstone cup and saucer set from England, and some extra goodies.
From a small series of miniature cakes designed to look like a coffee mug and a set of three decorated tea cups and saucers.
The cake is a decadent mocha (dark chocolate and coffee) madeira cake with coffee flavoured buttercream.
we took a moment to ourselves at the wedding to drink teas and converse. I have no idea what we talked about.....
Tea on Tuesday of course! Here Mona and I are with Nell (porcelain head) and Oscar (the frog)…. My family and I are starting the New Year over, one day at a time. The holidays were far from that, with many trips to the doctor, the urgent care and finally ringing in the New Year (12am) in the Emergency Room with my mom… which was an interesting event. The doctors finally deduced that she was dehydrated from a water pill she had taken a week or so prior to this. After a few IV’s, quite a few tests (which could not explain the mystery pain), she was determined to be free to leave and come home on the 3rd with instructions to drink more water!

Here is my favorite artistic (non-family) picture from Disneyland. It was taken early in the morning around 7:30am during the "Magic Morning" hour before the park is open to the general public. Disneyland opened 2 hours early (at 8am) this week because of Spring Break. I love the vibrant colors and the sense of motion in the teacups. I played around with different shutter speeds to cover a range of motion blur. This one is my favorite as you get the sense of motion without becoming unrecognizable.
