Jamie's school has Teacher Appreciation week this week so I decided to make his 2 teachers bento lunches. They have turkey sandwich topped with a meat/cheese "teacher", honey wheat pretzel sticks (In a baggie do they don't get soggy), cookie letters spelling our her last name, mixed fruit, red pepper stars with ranch dressing and sesame noodles. I also sent in some star shaped cheesecake brownies.
Got an Assignment to shoot a portrait which shows the character of the person. I have clicked Ms Shama Bhardwaj. Her Brother had a medical emergency today and she had to rush to the hospital. Despite this, she came home, got dressed up as instructed and appeared for the shoot without much delay. I have tried to capture both her Avtars...first the TEACHER and the EXECUTIVE.
She has been a Teacher all her life with Apeejay. But currently she is an executive with BSI. She cooks at home frequently, is a jovial person, but too serious when it comes to her work.
I have tried to do the lighting in such a way, so as to simulate the low light levels coming from the laptop, which falls on the chest and not much on the face.
Used two lights(one snoot, one soft box, one reflector, one cutter).

I made these royal icing sugar cookies for the teachers at my son's school for Teacher Appreciation Week.
They were a HUGE hit!

I'm adding to my teacher stash...and I love, love, love to color with Copic's! If you look close, I even colored around the "thank you" to make it pop a bit.
Teachers and staff at the Walnut Street School in downtown Des Moines handed out gifts to their families on the second to last day of classes before Winter break. The gifts were educational games for some family bonding during time off from classes.
This man is a retired teacher. I wanted to give him that scholarly look. B&W because textures look great in silver.
📷This was shot in my backyard, in front of my garage door.
💡One of my favorite lighting styles--Cross light. I had a large beauty dish in front of him (to my right) and a small beauty dish behind him (to the left)
