Looking Close on Friday's theme: Tea Bags

I dried a used tea bag and coloured it with watercolour pencils

Very easy :-)

The poet T. S. Eliot made part of that sentence famous, but he actually wrote,

"I have measured out my life with coffee spoons."

My husband uses tea bags, and began to collect them for me. Hasn’t it been one helluva year? And it isn't over yet.

But I've discovered some surprising small and good things as we’ve sheltered...about him, about pleasure in one decent photo, the joy of an unexpected text.

Adele Outteridge was born in Melbourne, Victoria in 1946. Here she has created what might be the most intriguing of artist's books in the collection.

Adele writes, "Many cultures have a tea ceremony - these teabags represent 560 cups of tea drunk by me and my friends alone or together."

Spiced holiday tea in the most beautiful tea bags I've ever seen!

So this version includes the essence of the teabag. #SmileonSaturday theme of #CoffeeorTea. It smells delicious in here! I may go brew me up a cuppa!

And this version is a possibility for the #MacroMondays theme of #string. And, yay, I found the ruler! So I can do a size verification, later!

Couldn't quite believe myself yesterday trying to 'pose' teabags with photography lights and everything! Anyway, they refused to look pretty and this is what I ended up with.... a stack of used teabags...nice : )

There was another Tea Party protest at the Minnesota capitol on April 15, tax day. Protesters call for smaller government and the repeal of the health care law enacted in March, 2010.

met up with some friends downtown to take some pics of the teaparty at Pioneer Courthouse. impressive sized crowd that filled the square.
