If you've been following me in Flickr long, you know I have a thing for Middle East, especially for what they call "Balad el Sham" (the countries of sun - Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine). I love how it feels home, despite the differences. I like how people are full of smiles, and always ready to help.

Just as we were out of Aljoun citadel, I saw this man selling tea and coffee, and when I asked if I can take a photo of him he said, "Of course!", and smiled a very charming smile.

Thanks for your visit and have a great day!

In my pictures visions,

I see.

The meaning of which

is lost to me.

Tea readers,

perhaps could tell,

the secrets these

pictures know so well.

Why the silver door knob?

or the key whole I see.

Or the written J that floats

to me.

Abstract dreams

designed for me.

Perhaps,

a memory,

I see.

Perhaps my glass

is like a well.

To deep to look,

to deep to tell.

In my pictures visions,

I see.

The meaning of which

is lost to me.

Macro Monday's and the theme of "Tea".

I mistakenly bought a box of loose leaf tea several months ago and this has remained in our kitchen cupboard since then.

Now with this weeks MM theme being Tea I decided it was time to go and buy an infuser so I could finally make some good use of the loose tea.

The infuser is like two spoons with holes and both sides clip together so after getting a scoop of tea leaves and boiling the kettle I poured the water into my cup over the infuser and then stirred a little and waited a few minutes. I had then decided to unclip both sides so the used leaves fell out and photograph it that way rather than trying to record the infusion coming out into the water as I had already done this once before.

Well, a couple of photos later and after one very nice cuppa I was done.

the girls had a tea party this morning with some of their friends. Reese has been inviting everyone and anyone. There were only 4 additional girls besides my own 2. :-D

The countryside of Japan has been heavily de-populated - all the more so in remote, rural areas.

That said, the elderly remain and continue their connection to the land. Younger folk seeking relief and alternate ways to the cities are also putting down roots in these little communities.

Shots like this are definitely the sweet spot for the Leica. Not to bright for the wide open aperture with a pleasing mid-ground.

Returning to my roots! I use to always take photos like this one.

Last in the series. I know the tea keeps looking different which I'll have to work on if I do something like this again.

EXPLORED ! thanks you all !

There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea. If you are cold, tea will warm you: if you are too heated, tea will cool you: if you are depressed, it will cheer you: if you are excited, it will calm you. There's always time for a cup of tea. Do not accept badly made cups of tea - do not surround yourself with people that make them - they don't care about you. Tea - a hug in a cup. A simple cup of tea is far from a simple matter.

The tea party oak is said to be over 700 years old, so called because local children would gather under it for tea parties.
