Taylor Swift fans who attended the third night of her "Lover Fest" concert series in Nashville were met with a delay due to severe weather conditions on Saturday, May 7. The show was scheduled to start at 7 p.m. local time, but due to a tornado warning issued in the area, fans were asked to take shelter inside the Nissan Stadium.
The singer took to social media to apologize for the delay and reassure fans that the concert would still take place. "Hey guys! A huge shoutout to the city of Nashville last night for staying calm and cool under the weather," Swift wrote on Twitter. "And a huge shoutout to the fans for knowing what to do when the weather warning came. Love you so much and can't wait to see you again tonight."
According to reports, fans were eventually allowed to return to their seats after the weather warning was lifted, and the concert began at around 9:30 p.m. local time. Swift delivered a high-energy performance, singing hits like "Love Story," "Shake It Off," and "Blank Space," as well as songs from her latest album, "Lover."
This is not the first time Swift has faced weather-related issues during her "Lover Fest" tour. In 2019, she was forced to cancel her outdoor concert in Brazil due to a severe storm. Despite the setbacks, Swift's fans remain dedicated and excited to see her perform live.
