In india per abbellire il proprio corpo usano i tatuaggi con l'hennè.Queste decorazioni si chiamano Mehndi. La tradizione vuole che sia applicato la giornata prima del matrimonio durante la cerimonia del mehndi, appunto, che è parte integrante delle nozze, qualunque sia l'appartenenza religiosa della sposa: è una specie di addio al nubilato..Mi ha sempre affascinato questa tradizione.. poi il tatuaggio non è permanente ..alcune settimane e va via.. ecco qui una delle mie rivisitazione fantasiose .. spero vi piaccia!!!

History of the Tiki Culture
Most often when we hear the word “Tiki” we think of carved wooden statues with piercing eyes and a menacing scowl. Some statues wear expressions of great joy or spiritual balance, while others may look more troubled or sad. The history of tiki culture dates back to ancient Polynesia. Such carvings were first discovered in Polynesia, and tiki carvings are said to represent a Polynesian God. They’re an integral part of South Pacific mythology, culture and history.
Similar to the way the Christian religion sees Adam as the first created human, Maori mythology refers to Tiki as the first man. One of the most popular legends states that Tane created the first man, Tiki, then made a wife for him. Another version, however, says Tiki mixed his own blood with clay to create the first human, while another popular variation of the story claims that Tiki lived a lonely life and craved companionship. He was overjoyed when he saw his reflection in a pool of water, but his joy quickly faded as the image shattered when he dove into the pool in an effort to embrace his new-found friend. In his anguish, he covered the pool with dirt, and the earth gave birth to a female companion.
The sheer number of legends surrounding Tiki is quite astounding—possibly because so many island cultures pay tribute to Tiki Gods. The four major Hawaiian Tiki Gods are Ku the God of War, Lono the God of Fertility and Peace, Kane the God of Light and Life, and Kanaloa the God of the Sea. Ancient followers worshiped these Gods through prayer, chanting, surfing, lava sledding and even human sacrifice.

TIKI
Il Tiki fa parte di una credenza che si fonda su un concetto spirituale, tipicamente polinesiano. Di origine delle isole Marchesi, questa spiritualità viene diffusa in tutta l'Oceania attraverso la personificazione nelle forme di statue in roccia lavica, legno e ossa anche umane. Queste raffigurazioni sono presenti in diverse forme, considerate patrimonio dell'arte oceanica, come gioielli e tatuaggi dai significati tutt'ora mistici. Alcune di queste rappresentazione sono facce con grandi occhi rotondi incise e dipinte su pietre, alcune anche rappresentative gli Dei Maori.

Il Sak Yant è una tipologia di tatuaggio sacro, molto diffuso nel sudest asiatico, principalmente in Thailandia e Myanmar, e presente nella regione già da 2000 anni. Secondo la tradizione questi tatuaggi sono magici e hanno il potere di conferire protezione alle persone che li portano. In queste foto racconto la mia esperienza al Wat Bang Phra, un monastero Buddista poco distante da Bangkok, famoso proprio per la pratica del Sak Yant.
The Sak Yant is a sacred tatoo, very common in Southeast Asia, mainly in Thailand and Myanmar. It originated about 2000 years ago. This kind of tatoo is believed to be magic and give protection. In these pictures I tell about my experience in Wat Bang Phra, a Buddhist temple near Bangkok that is well-known for the Sak Yant tatoo.
El Sak Yant es una tipologia de tatuaje sagrado, difuso en el Sudeste Asiático, sobre todo en Thailandia y Myanmar, y presente en esta region hace 2000 años. Segun la tradicion estos tatuajes son magicos y dan proteccion. En estas fotos conto mi experiencia en el Wat Bang Phra, un templo Budista cerca de Bangkok, muy conocido para el Sak Yant.
A late afternoon walking along the river bank, I saw this tree.
It left me speechless and stupefied in front of his trunk, as decorated by thousands of small incisions or tattoos, drawn by unknown creatures (microorganisms ?), after having blown out the first bark.
I had never seen anything like this before. about trees.
Il mistero dell'albero morto
un tardo pomeriggio camminando lungo la riva del fiume, ho visto questo albero.
mi ha lasciato senza parole e stupefatto davanti al suo tronco, come decorato da migliaia di piccole incisioni o tatuaggi, disegnati da ignote creature (microorganismi ?), dopo aver fatto saltare via la prima corteccia.
Non avevo mai visto sino ad oggi qualcosa di simile, riguardante gli alberi.
Consiglio di guardarla in grande !

Mindat
Sulle montagne intorno a Mindat vivono le tribù Chin, dei Munn, dei Makan, e dei Dine.
Una tradizione ancor oggi in uso presso i Dine, è l'utilizzo dei flauti a naso; quando un uomo vuole chiedere ad una donna di sposarlo, si presenta alla promessa sposa suonando un flauto con il naso; talvolta anche le donne lo suonano in segno di risposta affermativa alla proposta di matrimonio.
E' tradizione presso le donne Chin tatuarsi il viso. Le tribù Makan, Dine e Munn si differenziano per i diversi disegni dei tatuaggi. Le donne Munn hanno il viso tatuato da una serie di piccoli anelli concatenati che disposti a mezza luna scendono dalle guance fino al collo; le donne Dine hanno invece il viso completamente tatuato da centinaia di piccoli punti, mentre il tatuaggio delle donne Makan è costituito da un motivo di linee disposte a raggiera che fanno assomigliare il disegno alla ragnatela tessuta da un ragno.

It is tradition at Chin women to tattoo their faces. The Makan, Dine and Munn tribes differ in their different tattoo designs. The Munn women have their faces tattooed by a series of small concatenated rings which, arranged in the midst of the moon, descend from the cheeks to the neck; The Dine women, on the other hand, have their faces completely tattooed by hundreds of small dots, while the Makan women's tattoo is made up of a motif of lines arranged in a radial pattern that make the spider-like spider-like pattern resemble a spider's web.
