An unserem Fenster in einer geschützten Stelle hat diese Sinne ihr Netz gewoben. Geduldig sitzt sie seit vielen Tagen dort und wartet auf ihr Opfer. Gestern konnten wir beobachten wie sie ihren Fang langsam verspeiste. Jetzt wartet sie auf das nächste unvorsichtige Opfer.
Für das Foto musste ich auf eine Leiter steigen, eine etwas wacklige Angelegenheit, liebe Freunde.

Gimsøy, Lofoten, Norway
Our first location - Gimsøy Kirke on the island of Gimsøy, a beautiful little white church that blended perfectly into the landscape. So many angles to shoot from and all the prettier with a thick cover of snow to complement its exterior.
This 8x10 of Potato when she was a kitten has been floating around the house for years, from the "darkroom" days ~15 years ago. By digitizing it I was able to convert a few unfortunate stains to black & white to make them less obvious.
I think she was around 3-4 weeks when we got her, and with her amorphous shape and beady eyes she reminded us of a potato.
She's still with us but is slowing down.

On this Laos trip, I finally managed to figure out long exposure with my Sony A7iv... well, my mate told me how to do it in fact! Now I'm beginning to realise the importance of a tripod. Fortunately there was something to rest my camera on for this shot.
As shot. Taken just after midday shooting into the light at the Fujiko Nayaka fog sculpture which is a currently at the Tate London.
A long and tiring hike in a steep, slippery, hot, humid and hostile nature, to get finally there!
