An unserem Fenster in einer geschützten Stelle hat diese Sinne ihr Netz gewoben. Geduldig sitzt sie seit vielen Tagen dort und wartet auf ihr Opfer. Gestern konnten wir beobachten wie sie ihren Fang langsam verspeiste. Jetzt wartet sie auf das nächste unvorsichtige Opfer.
Für das Foto musste ich auf eine Leiter steigen, eine etwas wacklige Angelegenheit, liebe Freunde.

At our window in a protected place these senses have woven their net. Patiently she has been sitting there for many days waiting for her victim. Yesterday we could watch her slowly eating her catch. Now she is waiting for the next careless victim.

Es war mein letzter Tag in Portugal und ich wollte unbedingt noch einmal zu diesem schönen See und dem netten kleinen Restaurant mit Meerblick...
In weiter Ferne sah ich, wie schon ein paar Tage zuvor, einige Sichler, aber wieder keine Chance nah genug ranzukommen.
Aber dieser Sichler hier tat mir einen großen Gefallen. Er flog eine große Schleife über den See und machte mir damit ein ganz besonderes Abschiedsgeschenk.
It was my last day in Portugal and I really wanted to go back to this beautiful lake and the nice little restaurant with a sea view...
Like a few days before, I saw a few ibises in the far distance, but again no chance of getting close enough.
But this Ibis did me a big favor. He flew a big loop over the lake and gave me a very special farewell gift.
C'était mon dernier jour au Portugal et j'avais très envie de retourner sur ce magnifique lac et ce joli petit restaurant avec vue sur la mer...
Comme quelques jours auparavant, j'ai aperçu quelques ibis au loin, mais encore une fois aucune chance de m'approcher suffisamment.
Mais cet ibis m'a rendu un grand service. Il a fait une grande boucle au-dessus du lac et m'a offert un cadeau d'adieu très spécial.

Tatsächlich ist es gerade so, daß um mich herum jeder das Wort "tatsächlich" inflationär unter das Volk wirft. Es fällt mir extrem auf...unangenehm auf. In Reportagen, Interviews und im täglichen Sprachgebrauch wird "tatsächlich" als nutzloses Füllwort in jeden möglichen Satz gedrückt....warum ist das so?!
...es ist noch ein bißchen schlimmer als die involviert-Seuche...als man nur noch involviert und nichts anderes mehr sein konnte...
This was a very active afternoon with swirling clouds and buckets of rain. When I was a kid my Grandpaw called these "Tater Wagons" (Potatoe Wagons) because of the loud thunder and how the clouds held so much rain. I never understood that connection, but it made sense to a 10 yr old. Now I'm 56 and I love me some "Tater Wagons"!

On this Laos trip, I finally managed to figure out long exposure with my Sony A7iv... well, my mate told me how to do it in fact! Now I'm beginning to realise the importance of a tripod. Fortunately there was something to rest my camera on for this shot.
