Phil is a Reader at Marie Laveau's House of Voodoo on Bourbon Street. The shop doubles as a shrine to the famous Voodoo Queen, Marie Laveau of New Orleans. Psychic readings, voodoo dolls, statues and altars are higher quality (much) than the usual New Orleans tourist fare, although the authenticity of the voodoo paraphernalia gets called into question by some.
One highlight of this destination that is rarely questioned is the Reader, Phil. He earns almost unanimous reviews of excellence for his insight and accuracy. While I didn't have time to witness this myself, I can report that he was pleasantly mellow, courteous and accommodating when I interrupted his leisure time in front of the shop. Very nice fellow.

Great band I listened to on my photoshoot. The lady to the right of the band talking to the woman in the red coat was a tarot reader. Note the homeless to the left. They are with us everywhere. It was really sad to see this people with nothing at Christmas time. I usually don't give them money but I must admit at Christmas I could not resist. I hope they did not use it for drugs.
