La tradizione popolare vuole che toccare il naso del porcellino porti fortuna, che infatti risplende per la continua lucidatura quotidiana di centinaia di mani. A second visit to photograph the Kingfishers at the end of April. The day started overcast with very light rain. But the brightened up slightly.
The male Kingfisher landed on the perch and quickly Acquired its Target, A tasty Fish.
Only the male Kingfisher was seen throughout the day. But it was returning regularly to catch fish where it would dive and catch a fish for itself and then dive and catch a second fish before flying off.

New orders had arrived. A massive assault was being planned in the Raxus system. We were headed back to Coruscant to recuperate after our recent retreat. Our venator dropped into orbit and stayed up in tha air while we took a gunship down to the lower levels of Coruscant. Supposedly we were to recruit a few mercenaries to help us along the way but I believed that my brothers could be just as competent in battle. Either way these were orders we had to follow so there was no going against them. I dropped in and met a small squad of troopers. They introduced me by their numbers. The sergeant was a clone like me and he talked me through the plan as we walked, “We have located two possible mercenaries to help you on your mission sir, they are just down this way, we will take you to where they are and we will standby for your orders”. “They are basically captured. We just wanted to hand them off to you before we take them in, to make it easier to get back from the coruscant guard”. “Affirmative” I replied. “We’ll be right around the corner. You can take our rookie with you, we don’t want to make a huge fuss” said the sergeant. This squad clearly was a little too laid back, A full squad of clones would have surrounded them and secured them by now. I turned the corner with the rookie trailing me and saw the two mercs. “YOU TWO” I pointed at them “stay where you are”. I approached them with my DC-15 drawn. Two mercs stood in front of me, one a hooded human and an Alien species I had not had the pleasure of meeting. As I got within a few feet I stopped and said “ In the name of The Galactic Empire You both are under arrest, however we could cut you a deal if you decide to help us”. Then stood for a minute and contemplated. Behind us there was a commotion and yelling. It seemed the local patrol had found something exciting. I wanted to get out now. One of them had something behind their back. I waited another two seconds and finally one of them spoke “sounds good, we’re in if there's a good price”. “The only payment you’ll be getting is your freedom if you comply and help us with our objective” I said sharply. We turned and began walking down the street, past the commotion that was just beginning. I looked up and saw a scout on top of one of the roofs, “violent part of town” I said as we passed the sergeant. “Next time, subdue the targets and check for weapons, this one had a blaster” I said as I pointed at the hooded one. “Yeah sorry about that Captain” said the sergeant. I continued past them and we loaded onto the gunship. “We are off to the Raxus system, I hope you like the CIS” I said to the mercs. The doors shut and we rocketed off toward the venator.
At Pi Mai (the Lao New Year), everywhere in the street -and even at home- people a doing watee fight. This is very welcome because of the hot weather, some of the hotest days of the year.

This photo: For this theme, I knew I wanted to focus on fashion, and "pointed" made me think of the high contrast colors of black, white, and red. I started with the outfit and found that the perfect doll to model it was a (Basics) Barbie. :)

Crop top and skirt: Sal (It was totally unplanned that the outfit I chose for its pointy structure also had the word "appointed" visible in the text. I didn't see that until I was editing!
