Tappa assolutamente imperdibile nel panorama ferroviario portoghese, la "Linha do Douro" pur essendo una tratta a forte vocazione turistica, viene ancora oggi percorsa due volte alla settimana da un peculiare servizio merci per il trasporto di cemento e materiali da costruzione, con origine Gaia-Devesas (Porto) e destino il piccolo scalo di Godim.
E' facile incontrare il treno la domenica mattina nella suggestiva baia di Pala, dove la linea inizia il suo percorso lungo il fiume accostandosi dolcemente alle rive con due viadotti in successione: solo il frastuono e la modernità della possente Euro 4000 di MEDWAY interrompono la pace di questo magnifico angolo di Portogallo, in cui la ferrovia sembra essere rimasta ferma nel tempo.

Come ultima tappa di rientro dalle vacanze trascorro qualche ora, in serata, tra Sciaffusa e Zurigo per fotografare alcune locomotive Re 4/4 in testa ai treni IC4 provenienti dalla Gäubahn. Una prima foto viene salvata sulla schedina a Lottstetten, nel tratto tedesco della tratta e in un punto estremamente popolare.
Als letzten Zwischenhalt auf dem Rückweg aus dem Urlaub verbringe ich abends ein paar Stunden zwischen Schaffhausen und Zürich, um einige Re 4/4-Lokomotiven vor IC4-Zügen der Gäubahn zu fotografieren. Ein erstes Foto auf dem Chip wird bei Lottstetten gespeichert, auf dem deutschen Abschnitt der Strecke und an einem äußerst beliebten Ort.

"La storia viaggia in bus": rievocazione storica organizzata dall'associazione "Il Capolinea" e "StoricBus - Museo dell'autobus italiano" in occasione del triplice gemellaggio col "Museo Nazionale dei Trasporti sez. gomma". Si comincia con l'esposizione dei mezzi presso la Nuova Biblioteca Beghi (ex deposito ATC del Canaletto) per poi iniziare con la prima rievocazione della giornata a bordo del Fiat 416 Cansa n.202 ex AMSA Monza del '67, ripercorrendo le linee storiche di La Spezia
