Nicci Gerard and her husband Sean French write novels together under the name Nicci French. Their editor A.J. Finn recently released his debut novel ‘The woman in the window’. This evening all three talk about writing with a double identity, debuting and literature. The evening was hosted by Pauline Terreehorst and Persis Bekkering.

Local, National, and International Korean Issues

Korea has been in the news recently because of last week’s Virgina Tech shootings. Mainstream media outlets have been focusing a lot, and some critics say too much, attention to Seung-Hui Cho’s Korean ethnicity. All over the U.S., there are reports of hate crimes being perpetuated on Korean Americans.
On the international level, the long debated Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement or FTA has finally been accepted by the two countries’ negotiating trade bodies. We’ll be talking about the implications of this FTA, if it becomes law.
Seattle is home to a growing Korean population. According to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Koreans are the third largest Asian group behind Chinese and Filipinos. Within King, Pierce and Snohomish counties, Koreans made up the fastest-growing Asian group. Tonight, the discussion is on Korean issues both local and international.

The Nationale Toneel in The Hague has a new artistic director: Theu Boermans. The theatre company marks the occasion with THEUBOERMANS@WORK, a three-week festival with several of Boermans' best productions, talkshows and masterclasses.

Het Nationale Toneel in Den Haag presenteert van 4 tot en met 22 september zijn nieuwe artistiek directeur Theu Boermans. Gedurende het drie weken durende festival THEUBOERMANS@WORK worden hoogtepunten uit het werk van de gevierde regisseur gespeeld, geeft hij een interview, een masterclass en een lezing, en zijn er workshops, openbare repetities en talkshows rondom de actualiteit van toneel.
Tijdens de eerste talkshow van het theaterfestival waren Stefan de Walle en Eric Schneider in de Koninklijke Schouwburg te gast om te praten over de 'Haagse acteerstijl'. Vooral Schneider vertelde daarbij boeiend en amusant over z'n rijke acteerverleden bij onder andere het Nationale Toneel.
De talkshows vinden gedurende het festival elke avond plaats, voorafgaand aan de voorstelling (om 1930 uur). Tafelheer Remco van Rijn nodigt iedere avond een andere gast uit die ofwel een bijzondere relatie heeft met Theu Boermans, ofwel met het Nationale Toneel en de Koninklijke Schouwburg. Te gast in deze serie van dertien talkshows zijn onder andere Laura van Dolron, Hans Croiset, Ariane Schluter, Mark Rietman, Marjet van Zuijlen, Johan Doesburg, Theu Boermans en Jaap Spijkers.

Estabelecer pontes entre as organizações do terceiro setor e as fontes de recursos . Essa vocação do Instituto EcoSocial para a mediação foi destacada pelo consultor José Mario Ferreira , na abertura do talkshow que encerrou a programação do 3° Encontro Nacional do Germinar -- ocorrido em São Paulo, entre os dias 25 e 27 de abril . O evento este ano teve como tema "O Significado e o Fluxo do Dinheiro" .
