The rho ophiuchi molecular cloud complex in scorpius. captured 30x70" with my new pentax super-takumar 135 last night hoping to compare it to the images produced by my pentax-k 135. unforunately my mount died before I could get a full hour in on the target so I decided to combine this data with data I captured back in May. The verdict is that the Takkumar is slightly sharper and better corrected for chromatic abberation, but it comes at the cost of less light gathered and coma in the corners. I will likely use both lenses going forward, perhaps this could be the birth of a dual imaging setup down the road.

Love this camera, all mechanical. Minus on the no lightmetre though, the two first rolls were overexposed.
(Update 2016/01/03 - Got my 4th roll in it now, using a lightmeter app, seems to be working nice when I tried it with the DSLR. Looking forward to finish it.)

My friend the webdesigner, who is more of a rockstar really. Shot at night with Pentax spotmatic (42yr old camera) with the sxcellent Kodak 400bw c-41/cn16 black and white film. Some have also been shot with the absolutely unmatched dicator of colour-films, Fuji Reala. The best film to use for this would be 400BW, but since i ran out (after about 130 shots) i had to coninue with reala 100-speed.
Aperture I can not remember, shutter was between 1/4 and 4 secounds, depending on film and wished effect. Lens used is the superb "super takkumar 55mm".
