Wood Ducks (Aix Sponsa) ~ Florida
This year I decided to enter the annual Audubon Photography Awards contest. It was neat to see my photo of a mother and baby wood duck make the Top 100 selection out of roughly 9000 entries. This photo is from the same series.
The photo I submitted can be seen here.
Congrats to all the winners, and thanks for visiting!

PETER:

(Sings :)
I'm singing in the bath, just singing in the bath.
What a glorius feeling, and I, m happy again .....
OLEG:
Peter ... You sing out of tune. I get a headache.
(Goes to Peter)
Oh ... no!
What are you doing now?
PETER:
You can see that, I'm taking a bath.
OLEG:
You take a bath in Easter eggs.
PETER:
Yeah so?
These have been left over
When I'm done we will divide them.
OLEG:
I don't like Easter eggs that you took a bath in.
PETER:
There is a piece of paper around the eggs.
OLEG:
Even then I don't like them anymore.
PETER:
Too bad for you. Then I'll eat them all.

Great day to get her cleaned up because the weather is great for “Taking A Drive” My 1957 Ford 2dr sedan was such a blast to drive and caught the eyes of many of us “Older Street Rod Lovers” did you know that 1957 was the first year Ford outsold Chevrolet” it wasn’t by a large margin I believe. This car has White Leather interior. A V8 Ford engine, nice paint, tires and wheels and lively soundly mellow exhaust system. She was also fuel injected. Thanks for viewing my work. Gratitude and Kindness really do go a long way. Try it.
I don't often take portrait format photographs but didn't think there was any other way to capture this. I was amazed at the gentle graduation of colour and the way the little tree looked like it was taking centre stage.
After being amazed watching them and photographing them, the noise of a plane that passed through the sky frightened them and flew away.
You can see the bottom of the lake another flamingo flying.
It is a wonder to watch them fly.

Taking the Diverging Clear off NS’s Appalachia District at Big Stone Gap back to the home rails of their Cumberland Valley Subdivision, C090’s lite motors will take the connection down toward Cadet Yard to combine with southbound rock train W094 for another grueling trip to Kingsport.
The connection here at Big Stone was put into service on February 5, 1986 by the Seaboard System to expedite coal traffic from the Harlan Coalfields to the Clinchfield and points south by utilizing trackage rights over Norfolk Southern’s Appalachia District to Frisco.

As the weather changed and the wind got up birds began to take flight. Sitting into the wind made it easy for them to soar. Just over this ridge is the Tamar River, a 70 kilometre long tidal estuary.
