I took advantage of the daylight savings time hour gain after work and headed out to the nearby ponds. Evidently these guys were feeding rather close consecutively for two days. I showed up and they were nowhere close! I did get this one at a fair distance before the sunset.
The fountain Fontana dei Cavalli Marini in Villa Borghese, Rome. It was built in 1791, designed by the painter Cristopher Unterberger and realized by the sculptor Vincenzo Pacetti. It depicts four hippocampi (a hippocampus is a mythological horse creature with the lower body of a fish), sitting in a basin, and holding up three more on top of each other.

I took a drive over to Atascadero Lake yesterday and got lucky. I spotted this immature Bald Eagle up in a tree. After I took some shots of him perched he obligingly took flight. Look at those talons!!!
