The Southern Lights (Tahu-nui-ā-Rangi in Maori) at Lake Ellesmere captured from the Kaituna Quarry Reserve. The traffic on the left hand side of the clip is travelling on the State Highway 75 to and from Akaroa. The lights on the horizon are most likely aurora chasers near Birdlings Flat. There was a late number of photographers and spectators enjoying the show. The strong southerly wind created a choppy lake surface resulting in poor reflections.
Akaroa is a village on Banks Peninsula in the Canterbury region of the South Island of New Zealand, situated within a harbour of the same name. The name Akaroa is Kāi Tahu Māori for 'Long Harbour'
Thanks so much for looking and/ or commenting, I really appreciate it and will always try to reciprocate with a visit back to your stream :-)
my version of tahu built only with its pieces and Ikir creautura fire , came not bad maybe I should settle the thighs for the rest is all right.
his weapons are a sword and two flaming boomerang .
A Tahu revamp built using the new SCCBS/EVO system appearing in this year's Ninjago sets. Should've used Mixel eyes.
Built for New Elementary - for more pics and some extra description, check out www.newelementary.com/2022/04/lego-ninjago-moccing-with-n...
What if things had turned out differently ? What if Umarak had used his Shadow powers to take control of the Toa ? I've wanted to use the red / trans-neon green Unity Mask of Fire for a while, and it's when I bought a pair of Technic Modular Connectors on BL in March that I decided to build a corrupted Tahu. You can spot one of these in the middle of the torso, below the chestplate.
It doesn't look as good on the photos as in real life, so I may have to take some new pics later.
"The Makuta forms the shadow of a hero. His essence persists across time and space..."
Playing some parts in exotic colors I bought from Ziontyro.
Although this could be a revamp of Tahu, this actually is a beginning of my own new original Toa team.
I have 3 members of the new team finished, so I’m not at all done, but I just really wanted to share this one earlier.
I’ll keep names and further details a secret for now, sorry not sorry

Echoes from the time before time. The prophecy of the six heroes is born anew. The fire burns within.
Built from approximately 80% Lego system, 15% Technic, and using the original Bionicle head piece and mask, the Kanohi Hau, The fire sword from Stars Tahu. totalling 393 parts.
Increased limb articulation, with shoulders, slightly bendable knees and elbows. With slight mobility for the waist. The gearbox function has been faithfully recreated with increased friction provided by a ballsocket (See 2015 Bionicle set Master Onua as an example)
Quality renders achieved with Blender, built in stud.io using only pre-existing parts and colors. Build has been tested for viability using a real-life model that was representative of the overall look and structure to avoid issues that may arise with the build. It is relatively sturdy but should still be handled with care.
The prophecy is complete...
Currently working on a version of Tahu which can switch out armor and masks to become different versions of Tahu.
I would really appreciate feedback!
Last December, I posted a virtual model of a human-scaled version of Tahu Mata's sword.
vahki6 agreed to print it, and finally, here it is ! He scaled it down a bit, though, so it measures 85cm (33in) long instead of 1m (39in). I never thought someone would be crazy enough to actually make this sword, haha.
-Check vahki6's Facebook and Deviantart pages for more Bonkles cosplay goodness.
The new Bus Interchange on a walk around the city on a damp grey day August 29, 2015 Christchurch, New Zealand to catch up on what's happing.
The Bus Interchange incorporates integrated artwork by Ngāi Tahu artists. The artworks are based on the Narrative provided by Matapopore Trust on behalf of Ngāi Tūāhuriri Rūnanga. The narrative is centred around Ngāi Tahu migrations from afar, from the North Island and within Kā Pākihi-whakatekateka-a-Waitaha,(Canterbury Plains).
A number of constellations used by sea-faring navigators adorn the passenger lounge ceilings and bird life on the indoor tree-shaped columns represent those gathered near Hine-Pāka, the great Fowling Tree.
The outdoor Colombo Street columns will feature a war party of chiefs lead by Tu-rakau-tahi into Kā Pākihi-whakatekateka-a-Waitaha (Canterbury Plains). To the south is a column that will depict Te Muru looking out over the awa Ōpāwaho (Heathcote River). Through occupation and use he was acknowledged by whānau of Kaiapoi as the Kaitiaki of the awa (Guardian of the river).
A large compass is etched into the stone outside the main entrance pointing to the significant places depicted in the Narrative. Karakia (prayer/blessings) asking for good health, strength, enlightenment and safe travels are located near each of the five entrances.
Interpretation panels telling the story of each piece are located throughout the Interchange.
Based on Gwyn, Lord of Cinder from Dark Souls 1.

Preliminary Round: Bionicle Remixed
brickstudios is holding a 3K celebration contest on Instagram, and one of the categories is "Revamp," so I took a couple figures from my recent figbarf day on Instagram, and a couple new old parts I got a few days ago, and I decided to make a couple revamp figs!

Toa Tahu (credit to coeboy customs for the head)
A quick moc I did for a BioniLUG display where we each were assigned a Toa Nuva. This moc went quick as I used the Torso of Bonele and changed some stuff around to make it work for Tahu.
His waist does articulate, from side to side and minimal back and forth.
Currently working on a version of Tahu which can switch out armor and masks to become different versions of Tahu.
