At Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge, Kings Beach, CA

Spring is early at Lake Tahoe! The top of the Sierra Nevada mountains are still snowy, but almost all of the snow is melted around the lake. We are located at an elevation of almost 7,000 ft, and a few early spring flowers are blooming. I like this image of crabapple leaves in lovely light with nice bokeh in the background.

Have a lovely day whenever you might see this. Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all.

The day end with a beautiful sunset on in South Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe is a large freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada of the United States. Lying at 6,225 ft (1,897 m). Tahoe is also the largest alpine lake in North America.

Setting up for an event at Valhalla, South Lake Tahoe.

The name “Valhalla” was taken from the Norse Myths of the Viking’s Heavenly Place.

This is so close to home. In fact, I think I should spend more time here exploring its beauty instead of taking a long trip overseas now. California still has a lot to offer.

Late night hike to the top of a rock outcropping along the West coast of Lake Tahoe. There was a half moon but I couldn't pass up some night shots in Tahoe.

Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present. Jim Rohn

Here, an afternoon of happiness, kayaking in, enjoying beauty of Lake Tahoe. Grand daughter is on the way. Oh, if she could be enjoying the day.

Lady Wisdom or the Word exists with God from the beginning

Proverbs 8 (my favorite)

I was born before the deep existed,

before any springs poured out their water,

Before the mountains were placed on their foundations,

before the hills rolled across the land—

yes, before all this, I was brought forth.

When the earth was yet unformed and the fields were not yet nestled beneath the wind—

even before the first dust of the earth—

Psalm 24:2

With seas as foundations and rivers as boundaries, He shaped the continents, fashioned the earth.

Tahoe dock (II), after kids heard the dinner call and ran home giggling again

“Tahoe is surely not one but many. As I curve around its heads and bays and look far out on its level sky fairly tinted and fading in pensive air, I am reminded of all the mountain lakes I ever knew, as if this were a kind of water heaven to which they all had come.” -- John Muir

Hope you have a terrific Tuesday! Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all.

Turning around for one last look, Lake Tahoe with dock

This gated dock is not even there anymore!

Tahoe Moonlight with Orion. IMG_0442

I took this two days after my New Years day photo. Same location much different photo

Personally I like the feel of this one better. I like how moody it is. I also like how it looks and feels like a much different location. It almost has a remote feel to it.

Lake Tahoe is a large freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, straddling the border of California and Nevada. It’s known for its beaches and ski resorts.

Nevada / California USA

Lake Tahoe on the California/Nevada state line is a beautiful place. It’s also crazy popular with much of its 71 miles of shoreline either private or quite crowded in the warmer months. Therefore, I felt quite blessed to find this little spot just below a vista point on Nevada State Route 28 and have it to myself for the better part of an hour on a beautiful May evening. This image isn’t completely photo realistic as I used a quite long shutter opening of over 2 minutes to flatten the water surface that was actually fairly ripply. The result is an image that conveys the tranquil feeling I had as I stood them amid such beauty.
