If you want to get a great view of the Brooklyn Bridge & Lower Manhattan try the Brooklyn Bridge Park. The park spans 85 acres of the East River waterfront in the Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo neighbourhoods of Brooklyn and is a great place to visit.

 

Montserrat is located less than an hours train ride from Barcelona and is the home of a Benedictine monastery.

 

The quickest route to the monastery is via the cable car (Aeri de Montserrat) offering great mountain views which lasts around five minutes.

 

Montserrat is a multi-peaked mountain range and is part of the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range with the main peaks are Sant Jeroni, Montgrós and Miranda de les Agulles.

 

Beautiful Portofino is a fishing village on the Italian Riviera coastline. Pastel-coloured houses, high-end boutiques and seafood restaurants surround a small cobbled square overlooking the harbour.

Emerald Lake is the largest lake in Yoho National Park and is one of the Canadian Rockies’ finest lakes and a beautiful place to visit. The lake is enclosed by mountains of the President Range, as well as Mount Burgess and Wapta Mountain which frame the lake beautifully.

Brooklyn Bridge was the first fixed crossing of the East River opened in 1883. It was also the longest suspension bridge in the world at the time of its opening, with a main span of 1,595.5 feet (486.3 m) and a deck 127 ft (38.7 m) above mean high water. The span was originally called the New York and Brooklyn Bridge or the East River Bridge but was officially renamed the Brooklyn Bridge in 1915.

The Brooklyn Bridge is the southernmost of four toll-free vehicular bridges connecting Manhattan Island and Long Island, with the Manhattan, Williamsburg, and Queensboro bridges to the north. Only passenger vehicles and pedestrian and bicycle traffic are permitted. A major tourist attraction since its opening, the Brooklyn Bridge has become an icon of New York City.

Beautiful snow covered promenade in the centre of Central Park, this quarter-mile mall is flanked by towering American elm trees. At the Mall’s northern end stands Bethesda Terrace, overlooking the Lake.

 

The southern end features statues of famous writers, earning the promenade its nickname, “Literary Walk.”

Portland Bill Lighthouse is a functioning lighthouse at Portland Bill, on the Isle of Portland, in Dorset.
