la Torre di Belèm, capolavoro dell’arte manuelina, e simbolo inconfondibile di Lisbona, icona dell’epoca delle grandi scoperte, faro e fortezza a guardia del porto di Restelo .
La torre, costruita tra gli anni 1515 e 1521, si trova dentro al fiume Tago, ed è decorata da merli, torricelle e balconcini, con ornamenti che le danno un aspetto orientaleggiante di grande effetto.
Al tramonto è uno dei panorami da non perdere!

prima di risalire su un tram e tornare in centro mi fermo ancora sul miradouro de Santa Luzia ....
è quasi mezzogiorno , i tavolini che ho fotografato appena arrivata ora sono tutti occupati da turisti , una ragazza seduta su una panchina all'ombra di un albero suona la chitarra , la musica è dolce come il suo viso ... più in là un giovane fa enormi bolle di sapone per la gioia dei bambini che corrono e le fanno scoppiare ....
mi avvicino alla ringhiera ed ecco la festa dei colori ...
l'azzurro del cielo , le case bianche dai tetti rossi .. è il quartiere Alfama con le sue stradine contorte dove il sole fatica ad entrare , le ripide scalinate ... e laggiù il blu del Tejo , un veliero ha deciso di fermarsi e dondola pigro nell'acqua , dietro una nave da guerra ... minacciosa ....
un panorama stupendo ...
ho pensato ...è una cartolina , altri hanno scattato la stessa foto prima e meglio di me ma non ho resistito ...

La torre di Betlemme o, più correntemente, torre di Belém o "torre di San Vincenzo" è una torre fortificata situata nella freguesia di Santa Maria de Belém, nel comune di Lisbona, in Portogallo. Si tratta di un patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO, simbolo e memoria del ruolo importante che il Portogallo ha giocato nell'era delle grandi esplorazioni. La Torre fu commissionata dal re Giovanni II come parte di un sistema di difesa alla foce del fiume Tago e come porta cerimoniale di Lisbona. La torre fu costruita nei primi anni del XVI secolo ed è un esempio lampante dello stile manuelino portoghese, ma incorpora anche accenni di altri stili architettonici.

La Torre di Belém è stato dichiarato dall’UNESCO Patrimonio dell’Umanità.
Si erge sulle rive del Tago proprio nel punto in cui salpò Vasco de Gama. La torre fu costruita come una fortezza per combattere le scorrerie dei pirati.
Nel 1515, anno della costruzione, la sua posizione era nel mezzo delle acque, ma col tempo si è “avvicinata” alla terraferma per il progressivo insabbiamento del letto del fiume.

The Belém Tower was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It stands on the banks of the Tagus right in the spot where Vasco da Gama set sail.
The tower was built as a fortress to fight the pirate attacks.
In 1515, the year of construction, its location was in the middle of the water, but over time it is "closer" to the mainland for the gradual silting up of the river bed.

Castello di São Jorge è un castello moresco che si staglia sulla collina che domina il centro storico di Lisbona e il fiume Tago, in Portogallo. Le cittadella fortificata risale all’epoca medievale della storia portoghese.
São Jorge Castle is a Moorish castle occupying a commanding hilltop overlooking the historic centre of Lisbon and Tagus River, in Portugal. The strongly fortified citadel dates from medieval period of Portuguese history.

La parte più antica e caratteristica di Lisbona è il quartiere Alfama, nella zona sud della città.
Affacciato sul Tago, l’Alfama è uno splendido punto panoramico, in particolare dal Miradouro de S. Luzia. Da qui si possono osservare i tetti rossi delle case, le viuzze intricate che le collegano, il fiume e tre dei sette colli di Lisbona.
A differenza del resto della città, qui il terremoto del 1755 non ha lasciato segni: il quartiere è sopravvissuto e per questo motivo è oggi possibile ammirarne tutti gli aspetti originali e attraenti, come gli improvvisi belvedere, calati in un’atmsfera che ricorda le derivazioni visigote e arabe di Lisbona.

The oldest and most characteristic of Lisbon is the Alfama district, in the southern area of the city.
Overlooking the Tagus and the Alfama is a beautiful scenic spot, especially from miradouro de Santa Luzia. From here you can see the red roofs of the houses, winding alleys that connect the river and three of the seven hills of Lisbon.
Unlike the rest of the city, here the earthquake of 1755 has left its mark: the district has survived and for this reason it is now possible to see all the original features and attractive, such as the sudden viewpoint, embodied in un'atmsfera reminiscent of derivations Visigoth and Arab Lisbon.

Die St. Pauli Landungsbrücken im Licht der Goldenen Stunde. Über alles thronen die Tanzenden Türme oder auch Tago Türme von St. Pauli. Zur Zeit ist auf dem Heiligen Geistfeld der Sommerdom in Gange, das Riesenrad hat sich gerade in Gang gesetzt.
Se l’Alfama è il quartiere storico di Lisbona che ne custodisce l’anima tradizionale, il Parco delle Nazioni è Lisbona proiettata nel futuro. Questa enorme zona adagiata lungo la riva est del fiume Tago è il risultato di uno dei più riusciti progetti di riqualificazione urbana, in grado di trasformare un’ex area portuale nella periferia della città in grave stato di degrado e abbandono in una delle zone più moderne e trendy. L’occasione fu l‘Esposizione Universale Permanente del 1998 (EXPO): per l’ultima edizione del millennio, avente per tema conduttore “Oceani: un’eredità per il futuro”, venne scelta come sede Lisbona: al posto di magazzini dismessi e complessi industriali in rovina sorsero palazzi avveniristici e padiglioni in grado di ospitare migliaia di visitatori, con un corollario di servizi e infrastrutture efficientissimi. Finita l’Expo, i padiglioni sono stati convertiti in musei, auditorium o altre attrazioni: uno di quei padiglioni è diventato la sede del celebre Oceanário. Oggi il Parco delle Nazioni non è solo una delle attrazioni turistiche più famose di Lisbona, ma anche la zona residenziale più cara della città, un centro finanziario, la sede della fiera internazionale e un polo commerciale. If Alfama is the historic district of Lisbon that preserves its traditional soul, the Park of Nations is Lisbon projected into the future.
