a tablet experiment to enhance the rough texture of the bricks. not entirely satisfying but i ran out of patience with it.
Once upon a time it was a 24 tablets per pack across two blister packs, now they've cut it down to just 20 tablets, with four empty slots. This is the nice scalloped rear surface of a Samsung touch-screen tablet. I was holding this tablet while shooting, so the aperture was pretty wide open so the resulting DOF is so thin here. If you're interested in Android tablets, I've blogged about some of my experiences with a couple of these from a functional design point of view here.
Jan Trapman, sandstone tablet above the entrance of a former reading room from the same year. It depicts seven book spines (with the word "leeszaal" [reading room] on the middle one), a key below them, and trees at either side. In the tree to the right is a serpent and probably symbolizes wisdom.
