Shin Yeh is known for its Taiwanese cuisine. It's quite upscale because I think there were at least 3 waiters per table serving and boy were they fast to refill and pick up your dirty plates, why? Because they just literally stand behind you while you eat!
A clever idea at the Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton California. These table settings were done using a theme based on a book that the person had read.

I've dubbed this "Springtime in Paris" because it reminds me of supposedly French "shabby chic" decor. Lovely narcissus was growing in these tiny pots and old garden sprinklers. Altogether charming.
I printed out some vintage Thanksgiving postcards and laminated them for the placemats - sure it's not high dollar, but it worked pretty well!

During the contest, set up their table and have five minutes to present their table setting to a judge. After all judging is complete, the public is welcome to view the tables.
