Another reworked Mk1 GM 85mm at F1.4 image using Topaz Ai Sharpening in post.
This is now starting to work out for me, after previously experimenting with several different sharpening filters and being disappointed...The apparent lens sharpness at the plane of focus in Topaz is much improved, without in anyway that I can observe (at 100%) does it damage the OoF rendering (No outlined OoF hard edges)...The painterly bokeh of the OoF areas which is what I have always loved about the Mk1 is retained intact, without any real world noticeable increase in noise and contrast.
The OoF highlight areas still have that nice halation (Softness/glow) look about them...The plane of focus of the green leaves, I really wouldn't wish to be any sharper...It appears at least to me that I CAN have my cake and eat it too
My only real gripe with the Mk1 lens now is the AF side of things and nothing really else, other than perhaps the weight of the lens itself compared to the Mk2

no new fabrics...just scraps on the table that needs to be cleaned up.... handy purse/ bags, to hang around the neck...will hold a credit card, a comb, reading glasses.... a key...etc..etc.. and act as a substitute for jewellery as well..
Some of these will go with me on my next trip...and they look like acceptable gift items... ( already having been admired by friends...)
this morning, I made a bigger one which will hold the above, plus a small water bottle....keeping my hands free for important things like...cameras !!
The Thanksgiving table at my parent's house. No one is sitting there yet, but you can see some of the tasty food is already out there ready to be eaten.
Take notes ... my mother prepares an EXCELLENT meal!!!

This photo was taken on our January 2009 (my wife and my) vacation to Germany and Denmark. We flew from Pittsburgh to Frankfurt (via Charlotte, NC). In Frankfurt, we rent a Kia C’eed and drive across Germany to Berlin. After two days in Berlin we drove to the Baltic coast and took a ferry to Denmark, continuing on to Copenhagen. It was then to Roskilde and Silkeborg to visit friends for a few days. We departed Silkeborg and drive to Mainz and finally Frankfort before departing for home. Over 1200 miles in six days. Highlights included: driving in the autobahn (a thrill for me), the Brandenburg Gate, Check Point Charlie, the ferry, Nyhavn, and the Cologne Dom. The shots were taken with my then new Canon Rebel XT and Tamron 18-250mm.

When it comes to 365ing, you can never have enough ornaments :))
This is a little porcelain house, that I bought in the Yorkshire Dales in 1984, and I'm fairly sure it's not been in my 365 before. It's very cute, so I guess I shall have to photograph it in it's entirety at some point.
We found a Saarinen calacatta marble tulip dining table at the giant DWR warehouse sale over the weekend for 40% off the retail price. The edges are a bit chewed up here and there, but still very good condition overall. I wasn't expecting the table to be so heavy, so as Jacek and I unloaded the table from the truck, I nearly destroyed our new purchase when my arms gave out and the table came close to crashing to the street! Luckily I regained my strength at the last minute. I should've known it would be heavy, it's marble!
