Der Grund warum ich in den letzen Jahren kaum Bilder hochlud ist, das ich mein Leben komplett umgekrempelt habe. Ich brachte noch vor gut 3 1/2 Jahren 105 kg auf die Waage. Bekam dann aber gesundheitliche Probleme, aufgrund meines Übergewichtes und habe dann mein Leben von einem Tag auf den anderen komplett umgekrempelt. Angefangen Kraft- und Ausdauertraining zu machen und meine Essgewohnheiten umgestellt. Mittlerweile sinds 40kg weniger und ich bereue nichts. Allerdings blieb dabei die Fotografie ziemlich auf der Strecke. Hab mir vorgenommen das im kommenden Jahr wieder etwas mehr zu betreiben.
The reason why I haven't uploaded any pictures in the last few years is that I've completely turned my life upside down. A good 3 1/2 years ago I weighed 105 kg. But then I got health problems because of my overweight and then from one day to the next I completely turned my life upside down. I started doing strength and endurance training and changed my eating habits. Now it's 40kg less and I have no regrets. However, photography fell by the wayside. I decided to do it a little more in the coming year.

Das Werk "Comedian" des Italieners Maurizio Cattelan, eine mit Klebeband an einer Wand befestigte Banane, ist bei einer Auktion in New York am 20.11.2024 für 6,2 Millionen Dollar versteigert worden. Vor fünf Jahren hatte das Werk noch für 120.000 Dollar zum Verkauf gestanden. Cattelans Werk hatte 2019 bei der Art Basel Miami Beach eine Kontroverse ausgelöst und Fragen aufgeworfen, ob es als Kunst gelten könne - genau das wollte der Künstler eigenen Angaben nach bezwecken. Man muss wissen, dass die Person, die das Kunstwerk käuflich erwirbt, nicht die Banane selbst bekommt, sondern ein Zertifikat der Authentizität, das dem Besitzer die Erlaubnis und Befugnis verleiht, eine Banane mit dieser Art Klebeband auf seiner Wand als Original-Kunstwerk von Maurizio Cattelan zu reproduzieren.
Meine "Taped Banana" kann, in einer streng limitierten Auflage von 66 Ausdrucken, deutlich preiswerter erworben werden. Die Banane ist noch nicht geschält. 😂

The work "Comedian" by the Italian Maurizio Cattelan, a banana attached to a wall with adhesive tape, was sold at an auction in New York on November 20, 2024 for 6.2 million dollars. Five years ago the work was for sale for $120,000. Cattelan's work sparked controversy at Art Basel Miami Beach in 2019 and raised questions about whether it could be considered art - which is exactly what the artist said he wanted to achieve. It is important to know that the person who purchases the work of art does not receive the banana itself, but a certificate of authenticity that gives the owner permission and authority to place a banana with this type of tape on his wall as an original work of art by Maurizio Cattelan to reproduce.
My "Taped Banana" can be purchased significantly cheaper in a strictly limited edition of 66 prints. The banana isn't peeled yet [German idiom for “it’s not too late”]. 😂

It's sides are decorated with masks that chennel water below along the sides of the table. In the center of the table is a long narrow tub by which the viewer's gaze is drawn toward the Fountain of the Giants that provides a backdrop and links the different levels in the natural slope. The two reclining giants are personifications of the River Arno and the River Tiber, symbols of the two souls of Tuscia.

After building the Breda Model 35 for my AS.42, I decided to also give the normal version ago.
More or less a tabe sccrap, but overall a fun little build to do. Pretty much Italy's Flak 30.

I've had these little angels for a long time, used them as a good luck charm in my first own Condo home in Montreal years ago. So here they are again; they sit on a side table with a lamp. I hope that in reality angels will look after all of us at this terrible time with the Coronavirus. Stay home as much as possible, stay safe, everyone, please!

It was not one of those foggy days that we sometimes enjoy the little chills brought by mists. It is peak of summer here and the sweltering heat made my lens misty when I got off from the aircon of the car to grab some food from the store along the way. Thought that it would make some photographic effect as seen in the image. The mist served as an accidental filter - and with a little PP, voila, I had something different, at least, as I thought.

In oktober 2015 werd begonnen met de sloop van de Anton Philipszaal. Het Lucent Danstheater en de Anton Philipszaal werden gesloopt om plaats te maken voor een nieuw cultureel centrum, waarvan de opening gepland staat in 2019.
