Boats are my weakness, must be that I was captain Ahab in my past life!

Explore #48

Still playing with the lens, I couldn't resist some texture today!!

I am not sure what it is, I suspect it's a weed but it has beautiful flowers!

A new version of an earlier Photo. I am giving this one to my parents for Christmas. Hope they'll like it!

Created for Textures for Layers Challenge #100: Misty Trees

Thanks to Adrigu for the trees. Textures from flypaper and seriykotik1970

Hope this might inspire some of you to enter too :-)

Edited to say full texture recipe is now on the flypaper blog.

The centre of a Himalayan Blue Poppy or Meconopsis Betonicifolia.

Made some textures today with old sheet music and thought someone might like to use them!

Yes it was a cold and windy day when I took this but at least it wasn't raining!

It looks great On Black

It's only 3 hours until we see in the new year!

Wishing you all a wonderful 2008 and once again thanks for your comments views, faves invites and most of all your friendship :-)

More macro fun -this time with a definition added.

Created for Textures for Layers Challenge #24: Nautical

Original image is mine.

Textures from Paul Grand, Andrea Rusky and Anti$ocial butterfly with thanks :-)

I took this photo a month or so ago on a relatively calm day in our inner harbour here in Dunedin.

There's a definition there too but you'll have to look hard to read it.

PS. the enhanced colours come entirely from the textures used.

Created for Textures for Layers Challenge #46: Dead Pine

The original image is mine.

Textures from Bansidhet, Pareeerica and Jandamor. The crow is from Klsanderson ...thanks everyone!

Spent the day playing with this one, making subtle changes to tone and texture, thought I'd better upload it so I can get something else done :-)

Created for Textures for Layers Challenge #86: Pakrai Tree

Original photo from Kiwi Flickr.

Textures from Pareerica and Ervin Bartis, I also used two Flypapers

I had intended doing a fancy manipulation but ran out of time (as usual) but I like the effect the textures have made on what was already a wonderful photo.

Original image from Paul Grand

Textures from PlayingwithBrushes and Telzey. Many thanks everyone :-)

The wind comes to her

as she gazes down her lane of tiny memories.

Gently flowing

through her hair and fluttering her dress

to wrap her in the comfort of knowing everything will be as beautiful as she imagined it.

ghostbones' complex texture was the perfect backdrop for this fragile cactus bloom.

This is one the two large bronze statues at Signal Hill which overlooks Dunedin.

The garden is full of these white daisies at the moment...

I finally managed to get a flower to stand still long enough for me to take a photo. Lately, the breeze has come to dance and all is in motion. I think this is how it should be -- and it's lovely to watch -- or, I should say, listen, since I hear music when the breeze writes the notation in your heart...

Having some fun with textures for Fence Friday. Thanks to Thomas Quine for his Texture of Grass, and to Distressed Jewel for her Happy Easter texture.

Happy Fence Friday everyone !

Yet another fennel photo, leaves this time rather than seeds. The plants are looking particularly beautiful at the moment with their lush soft growth.

The definition reads Fennel -noun a plant, Foeniculum vulgare, of the parsley family, having feathery leaves and umbels of small, yellow flowers.

Credits to seriykotik1970 and ro-stock for beautiful textures

Made Explore!

I can feel you close

but I still can't make you out

Another Central Otago landscape, taken in the same area as the previous ones in this set.

and when I returned

I found the way back in was no longer there

I had to search for something higher up

...and I realized that I couldn't get there without your help.
