This is my synesthetic interpretation of the word "psychology." The "psych" accounts for the color and the smooth texture; the "logy" accounts for the crystalline structure at the bottom.

"7 Days of Shooting" "Week #14” “Childhood Memory" "Minimal Sunday" I am tickled by the colors I see when I look at the letters of the name my parents gave me. BARBARA. “B” is bright blue, “A” is fire engine red, and “R” is rich blue-green. Imagine. Blue, red, green, blue, red, green, red. I remember vividly learning the alphabet and how to spell my name. I thought, How strikingly beautiful a name.

BOBBI is not nearly so colorful ~ Blue, colorless, blue, blue, white. But I like the sound of it much better! 9-)

Musicvideo about the relation of light, music and architetcture.

Music by Saltillo

"The Opening" from the album Ganglion.

Go get it on itunes and amazon!

The clip is defined by 3 elements.

-One videofile, shot between 2 and 6 pm.

-The speed of playback of this file, which is synchronised manually to the music.

-About 50 different masks, wich define where the underlayed movie is going to appear on the screen. This makes it possible to have multiple light situations in the same moment.

So basicly, the sunlight caught from the building is the "natural" palette for the entire colors of the clip.

Synesthesia: a neurologically based condition in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway

For most of us, synesthesia—the attachment of colors to sounds and other such cross-sensory cognition—is more concept than lived experience. But “nerd artist researcher hacker” Zachary Lieberman could change that. His work uses technology in a playful way to break down the fragile boundary between the visible and the invisible.

Keyboard-driven Prog Rock outfit Kyros (nee Synesthesia) led by vocalist & multi-instrumentalist Shelby Logan Warne (nee Adam Warne) took the audience in Cambridge by storm with a great set drawn from their four albums so far. The power-house rhythm section of Peter Episcopo on bass and the incredible Robin Johnson on ferocious drums and percussion drove the show along at a frenetic pace demonstrating just how tight this band are now as Joey Frevola added fluid guitar over the top. The infamous acoustics at the Portland did them no favours, sadly, with the keyboard lines and guitar licks barely audible at times. Still an enjoyable return to full-on live gigs!

In another life, I played the flute. Not well, and not for more than 3-4 years, but I played.

Actually, I don't think I've actually opened my flute case case for years, but it's 11:55pm and I'm still cooped up, still tapped for inspiration. So I'm channeling Tim Gun and making it work.

Note to self: exif says it was taken on the 14th because my camera time was an hour off due to still being in DST mode.

I made this for a blog post at Land of Little Rain. I was writing about Jason Moran and his approach to jazz reminded me of synesthesia (not that Jason is an official synaesthete, but his music philosophy makes me think of that ability to crossover the senses)
