Thank God the symptoms of my Covid-19 are on their detour...

During this very panoramic and hilly walk you walk through meadows up to the hamlet of Kosberg. Then you walk through the forest to the hamlet of Landsrade. Then you walk through meadows towards Gulpen and then you arrive in the hamlet of Dal Bissen. The way back goes through meadows to the hamlet of Schweiberg and a nice path takes you back to Epen. This route often runs through meadows with beautiful views of the hills of South Limburg. There are plenty of benches along the way. At the end is a beautiful terrace. You can shorten the route to 7 km.
Tijdens deze zeer panoramische en heuvelachtige wandeling wandelt u door weilanden omhoog naar de buurtschap Kosberg. Dan loopt u verder door het bos naar het gehucht Landsrade. Vervolgens loopt u door weilanden richting Gulpen en dan komt u in de buurtschap Dal Bissen. De terugweg gaat door weilanden naar de buurtschap Schweiberg en via mooi pad komt u weer in Epen. Deze route loopt veel door weilanden met prachtige uitzichten op de heuvels van Zuid-Limburg. Er staan genoeg zitbanken onderweg. Aan het eind is een mooi terras. U kunt de route inkorten tot 7 km.
Can't wait for their return. Spent several hours in the usual spots tramping up and down muddy paths. No luck to date!

Snow drops are being shot for ever at the mo, just my take on the wee flower that lasts no length of time but heralds a seasons change.
Sleep problems are almost always a big issue for those with symptoms of Lewy Body Dementia, and almost all Persons Living with Dementia (by the time they get to later stages). — just very early with LBD.

No panic! This temporary trouble of vision isn’t a coronavirus symptome!
This art project began as a tool to cope with grief when losing another ability due to progress of dementia symptoms.
I remember this began with a tangle pattern, but do not find the pattern in my workbook, so i guess i created it out of my head.
Outlined this pattern 22Apr2018, … with teardrops when i realized that i was nearing the end of being able to use my “nevel” harp, because i was losing ability to tune the instrument. (Tremors symptom from vascular and Lewy Body Dementia symptoms). No longer able to use my Nevel Harp.
Bittersweet. With acquisition of iPad and digital tools i was able to add color 3yrs later, then maneuver the color with “Liquid” tools in ProCreate. No spilling !!!

Last year’s holiday star was for my friend Harry Urban, and showed my enjoyment of embroidery.
This year’s star shows six sharp “pointy” points. This picture goes with my blog entry about dementia symptom of not connecting cause with effect, and the various strategies now that i have returned from Emergency Room, Life Flight, and emergency removal of very "pointy" thing from my throat.

Standing under a deliciously cold waterfall at the end of the hot hike to the Subway is definitely a key symptom of a bad case of waterfallaholism. But most of you already knew just how bad my case is.
When I'm 90 and full of creaks, I'll remember moments like these.

Day 21. We were glad to be camped at a lower elevation, after experiencing altitude symptoms at 12,200' the previous night. This lenticular cloud 'wave' was a foreshadowing of a storm that would cause us to compress the last two days to reach the summit of Whitney into one. For now, this was welcome weather --enough to provide reason to prowl around with camera and tripod at sundown.
The photographs in my set, "Weed Flower Micros," may appear to be close-ups of regular-sized flowers – they are not!
These are micro (macro) photos of tiny little flowers which bloom on ordinary weeds.
How tiny? The largest weed flower in the set is only, when measured across its widest part from petal tip to petal tip, 3/4" in diameter!
Some of these miniscule flowers are so small that the entire blossom you are looking at is 1/4" in diameter…again that’s measuring from petal tip to petal tip across the widest part of the bloom!
The smallest part of a weed flower that I have managed to successfully shoot and achieve good detail in is a photo I made of a bud that measured LESS than 1/16" in diameter across its widest part! For a reference to its size I have also included a photo of that bud next to the head of an ordinary paper match, which dwarfs the bud.
I am delighting in discovering the beauty, complexity, and variety in something so small that it’s easily ignored or downright difficult to see with the naked eye.
And it’s an even greater delight to realize that this incredible beauty has been growing wild in my lawn, year after year, right under my un-seeing eyes as I’ve repeatedly mown them down with my lawn mower, never realizing the unseen beauty that I was trampling under my feet.
I hope you enjoy viewing these as much as I do. I have a lot of fun making them for us to look at!

After 8 days of no symptoms whatsoever I got overconfident and went for a walk...and was punished...the nerve flared up and the pain came back in the middle of the night. The physio was understanding of my craving for movement but firm: I am not allowed to move my arm under any circumstances and forbidden to walk. It's not back to square one but I went back some steps...damn...

Une fois adulte, l'insecte quitte la galle qui contient un fort taux d'acide gallique, un acide organique de la famille des tannins. C'est pour cela que les galles du chêne sont utilisées pour créer de l'encre.
Solutions : la vie du chêne n'est pas en danger malgré ces excroissances.
Coupez les branches atteintes dès que vous voyez que votre arbre est attaqué et jetez les feuilles tombées au sol.

There's a limit to what you can photograph when you have to self-isolate. So out with my long lens to capture this bird sitting alone for a while on a branch of a neighbour's tree at sunrise - a bit like me! I had symptoms - sore throat, runny nose, fatigue - for a week but can't complain. Covid has caused many people a lot more pain and grief.
I am really looking forward to getting out and about again. Another day to go...

Hi all, just letting you know nothing's happened to me and I will be back uploading and checking out your photos soon. I've had the combination of a migraine and cold since I went to bed on Sunday, which has meant half the week in bed trying to sleep it off. Tim joined me in sickness yesterday with cold symptoms and a nasty cough, so we sat in the sunshine in the garden for a bit yesterday.

If you haven't heard already, we're about to get hammered by a flu epidemic. If you aren't sick, wash your hands several times a day and try not to touch your face with your hands. (much harder than it sounds)
If you are sick with flu like symptoms, don't go to work. Don't go to the store. The only place you should go is the doctors office.
I'm afraid this thing is going to get big. The bird flu got a lot of coverage but it lacked one thing. The ability to be spread from human to human. The swine flu has that covered.
In 1918 there was a global flu epidemic. The world-wide numbers are impossible to calculate but it's estimated that 20 - 100 MILLION people died. 675,000 in the United States. The virus was able to travel globally by hitching a ride on soldiers returning home from World War One. With planes, trains and automobiles this one could get away from us in a moments notice. If it hasn't already.
While it's true that thousands of people die each year because of the flu, it's usually immuno-compromised people and the very old and very young. This flu, like the 1918 flu, is killing 20-40 year old, otherwise healthy, people. This is bad news.
I've never been a harbinger of doom and I've always wanted to kick the guy with the 'the end is near' sign in the nuts. Just please stay home if you're sick and wash your hands much more than usual if you're not.
Oh, and the federal government just declared a public health emergency.
