Project 365 // Day 327
There's something about the amazing geometry and entrancing reflections of this view that mesmerized me. The problem with this type of shot is that its very hard to capture its complex beauty successfully, but I sure tried my best. Hope you all like it!

This is a photo of the sunlight refracting through stream current ripples at Mavillette Beach. The image has been mirrored and copied twice to be symmetrical, and is best seen full screen.
Only completed in 1999, Lille cathedral is a modern cathedral with a stunning white marble facade. Although the first stone was laid in 1854, the effects of WW1 and WW2 meant that most of its construction was not finished until 1947. In the 1990s the temporary brick facade was covered by 110 sheets of marble and the beautiful rose window was put in place.

Concrete, light, repetition. The essence of architectural perspective distilled into monochrome symmetry.
This is a photo of a contrast of light and shadow, and the sunlight refracting through the current at the edge of the river. The image has been mirrored and copied twice to be symmetrical. The detail is best seen full screen. The symmetry in this image suggests biological cell division.

This view really brings out the fact that it based on the stucture of an iron crytal, albeit magnified 165 billion times...
Symmetry (almost).

An observer noted the asymmetrical placement of the floor lamps in the first image of this series. OK, it was Ken. I responded by noting, the entire set is asymmetrical.
That is not entirely true. There is symmetry, at center stage. The staircases form a proscenium arch over the largest entry on stage, the garage doors.
To appease my business partner and to celebrate that focus of balance, harmony and symmetry, we offer up a copper Rolls Royce with furnishings matched on both sides of the stage door entrance.
Does this car know how to make an entrance or what?
Who wants to help polish the Rolls?
No forced perspective hocus-pocus happening here! This is a photograph of 1/24 scale die-cast model cars in a 1/24 scale custom built 1930's car dealership.

I seriously can't get enough of this mountain. I still prefer the first comp, but this one definitely has some fun symmetry to it.

This is a photo of patterns in the sand in a stream that flows across Clam Harbour Beach. The image has been rotated and symmetrically copied to reveal a transcendental vision.
