A moment of urban solitude captured in infrared, where contemporary architecture meets an alternate dimension. The distinctive curved glass facade creates a surreal backdrop, its turquoise reflections contrasting beautifully with the vibrant magenta foliage that only infrared photography can reveal.
There's something about this architectural marvel that feels almost otherworldly – the way the glass bends and reflects the sky, the bold geometric lines, the solitary figure walking through this transformed cityscape. Shooting in infrared turns the familiar into something completely unexpected, revealing a London that exists just beyond our normal perception.
The interplay between human scale and architectural ambition, between natural elements rendered in impossible colors and cutting-edge design, creates a scene that feels both grounded and dreamlike.

I want to thank you for all your visits this year. Thanks for all your complimentary, sweet and lovely comments on my photos at Flickr. Always nice to read your comments! I appreciate every visit again, a comment, invitation and a fave! For 2021 time is running out and 2022 is waiting for us. My best wishes for 2022, and make it a great photographic year! Photo of The Swiss Caliber 175. This Caliber was introduced in 1942, refreshed in 1949, and retired around 1960. At the time, Chinese Air Force was looking for a pilot chronograph and ended up with Venus. After production ended, Venus offered them the 175 by selling them all the tools and design to produce the Caliber 175 family to the Tianjin Watch Company in China. This became the basis for the Sea-Gull ST19 watch family, introduced in 1963 and re-introduced for current production today. Macro photo taken with a modified Canon EF35-80mm f/4-5.6 lens. Turn your old Kit Lens into a superb Macro lens by removing the front element. Give this old lens a new life. More 35-80 macro's and info can be found: www.flickr.com/groups/3580macro/
For now the clock is ticking..... yesterday's past, tomorrow's future. Whether it's the best of times or the worst of times, it's the only time we've got. 2021 was just like 2021 a lousy year. For 2022, wish you a lot of courage. I'm sure it's going to matter. Keep it up シ. My best wishes for 2022, stay safe and make it a great photographic year!
Hou vol シ.
Beginn der Pandemie 2020. Wagenmangel!

Now it is finished, the cottage which I photographed a year ago. Like a little fortress, enthroned on 870 m ASL on the hill above Rorschach and Lake Constance. The windows on the right side to the west are closed by a movable wooden planking. The large window on the north side is probably a kind of bulletproof glass. The location is quite exposed in relation to storm and hail. Unterbilchen Grub SG, Switzerland, August 1, 2011.

Dominus Estate Winery | Yountville, CA
From a private tour Arthur and I went on back in September. This winery is architecturally beautiful. It was completed in 1997 by two Swiss architects. This was their first project outside of Switzerland. They are also famous for designing the de Young museum in SF, "Bird Nest" in Beijing, and among many other famous buildings.
This building is uniquely built with a facade of rocks enclosed by wires. This helps keep the interior cool, especially where they make wine. Everything else is made of concrete. Together the rocks and concrete help insulate and regulate temperature. Larger rocks are used at the base, with smaller rocks towards the top. The rocks allow for natural light to enter through the walls. All the materials used are local to the area.
Similarly to the tour we did in La Jolla at the Salk Institute, we were the minority of the group in terms of profession and interest. Most of the tour group members were architects! We went purely for photos and the learning experience. :)
