Kiwirail DL (9354) locomotive on track to Auckland, New Zealand. Taken at sunset at the Motumoaho loop between Morrinsville and Hamilton.
I don't usually go for this kind of abstract artistry, but sometimes I do get swept up in the moment and follow the lead of my accomplished fellow photographer and muse.

I have tried a newer approach to this motion blur with an angle of the blur cutting though.
Seems to be a bit interesting.
Is it me, are the numbers kind of weird in Flickr again?

Marsh Reeds in dawn light are given an impressionistic painterly look by using a slow shutter speed and panning the lens during capture.
Downpour...
While driving home at the end of a long day hiking; a sudden storm turned the roads to rivers and the visibility dropped to only a few meters..
the wipers flicked back and forth and i had to shoot between the swipes to get this shot.

Raphael swiping anyone in range from the chair. Josie doesn't mind. The others got cranky about it. He swiped me too.
This is another in-camera multiple-exposure of three ICMs. It’s of a brick wall and doorway in our village pub carpark. The ICMs were two horizontal swipes and one vertical and the composite used the Darken blend mode setting in the camera.
I like the way the movement has emphasised the brick pattern.
Thanks for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy 100x :)
With one swift side swipe of the beak, the Juvenile Herring Gull sends water into the air. It's really quite a show to watch and photograph.

Warm, golden, sunrise light, back-lights a field of grasses. Long-exposure and ICM creates and impressionistic, painterly, feel.

Random cat on the street, captured 'pre swipe'.
A slightly older shot I wasn’t quite happy with... so I thought that could be a great opportunity to do some excessive editing! Unfortunately I didn’t have any chance to get on my computer all day, and so I just decided to do some editing on iphone - it’s my first attempt at a "Sliders sunday" image, and it is... well, I would probably call it a modest result! HSS anyway!
Intentional camera upward movement at a slow shutter speed to create a blurred effect. I like how this technique creates an artistic impression and no two images are identical.
My mom loves to do this technique so in honor of Mother's Day, I am posting this swipe image that was taken with my mom in Shenandoah National Park.
