Snapped one warm & sunny afternoon at the small created lake in the Windsor Park subdivision of Regina, Saskatchewan. There are many ducks at this lake. They seem to be fairly tame, and come right up to people who have food that they think might be for them. However, this mother duck would have nothing to do with me. As I approached the water's edge she began to swim away furiously, with her two ducklings paddling near her.

The foreground is the edge of an infinity pool and below it is the Angat river.

A Manatee calf surfaces for a breath as it swims with mom in the canals of Manatee Park, Ft. Myers, Florida.

It’s easy to see just how small this little one is compared to just a portion of moms barnacle covered back.

This is the first video I have ever uploaded to Flickr but I hope you think it was worth the wait. It lasts less than a minute but really captures what an amazing experience it was swimming with Sealions. It is mesmerising and reminds me of the mindfulness moment at the end of Springwatch.

This was taken at Los Islottes in the Sea of Cortez. California Sealions breed here and the young suckle from their mothers for about a year. But females need to go off and feed so they can produce the milk. So the young are left in a large unsupervised creche. There were about forty young Sealions that were playful and curious. I received the occasional nip but nothing painful, rather like boisterous puppies.

... don't you love to swim as the sunset colours reflect in the water

I made this time stack by combining 297 photos into one image. I also went back and added in the dark parts of the swan(s) because they got erased by the lighter parts of the water after stacking the photos.
