purpleagle (Admin): It breaks my heart to tell you that E25 was seizing and fell from the nest at about 2:55AM
UPDATE : We have lost E25. CROW was able to get on the ground with a vet to try and save the fallen eaglet but it has succumbed to the same symptoms as E24 and will be taken to the clinic for a full necropsy. 35 minutes ago

"Cypress Dome" trails, Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed, SWFL.
I came up on them while I was passing through the "kissing gate" of the fence on the right, a remnant of a recent time when this land had an active cattle lease. I moved slowly and quietly to my knees, trying not to startle them, to get the shot from eye-level.
They allowed me to snap a few shots, before darting backwards about 50 yards. When I repositioned to get a shot with the dark woods as a backdrop, they leapt clear over the fence and bounded away.
