Sweet chilli crisps

HMM everyone

LT20 (LTZ1020) is seen on Victoria Street while working on the Route 24 to Pimlico, this is one of a number of new routemasters currently sporting an advert for Kettle Bites, this being the pink sweet chilli flavour. (21/05/16)

This is a everyone's favourite!

It's a dumpling filled with scallops, prawns, minced pork and chives.

Served with a dipping of sweet chilli sauce, lime and fish sauce.

I made these for a party.

Wontons are made by spreading a wrapper flat in the palm of one's hand, placing a small amount of filling in the center, and sealing the wonton into the desired shape by compressing the wrapper's edges together with the fingers.

It can be fried or boiled.

Food is very important in a lot of cultures.

Upon first impressions, Tofu King é…æäø‰å® seems like another commercial looking Malaysian restaurant serving 酿豆腐 Yong Tofu, beancurd and other morsels stuffed with fish mousse. But with ęµ·å—ę·‹é¢ Hainanese Noodles joining 咖哩辣沙 Curry Laksa, č™¾é¢ Penang Prawn Noodle, äŗšäø‰č¾£ę²™ Assam Laksa on the top row of the menu, perhaps it is worthy of the prime location on Swanston Street.

For the first day of operation, the staff seem clued-up and friendly. I'll have to check back next time for the 酿豆腐 Yong Tofu! After all, the name of the shop, é…æäø‰å®, means three stuffed treasures in Chinese!

Yum!

Loaded with chorizo, sliced potatoes red onions and drizzled with sweet chilli sauce, it was definitely a heart starter after a big night out!

Lil' Dee and I had to share this, and it's lucky we did! :)

Joe's Garage - Mietta's review

I know I'm a bit odd but I love this, I use a combination of any fruits, veg etc. I have in and eat it with a fork.

This bowl is black grapes, honeydew melon, kiwi fruit, strawberries, cherry tomatoes and raw sugarsnap peas all tossed in a teaspoon or two of hot sweet chilli sauce...delicious!

hmm... interesting.

This was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy, really stunning with my homemade cheese sables and goats cheese!

For any of my recipes, send me a message and I will send you it!

I haven’t tried these yet, just had to resist as I’m on a diet, but very nearly gave in. I think had I gone for them, I would have tried the cider vinegar, or maybe the sweet chilli.

Has anyone tried pipers, and if you have, what are your thoughts?

Seen in a shop in North Lincs.

The much talked about Spicy Tuna Tataki was served with a mildly spicy chilli mayo and a wasabi mayo made with freshly grated wasabi.

Creamy smooth fresh tuna followed by silky mayo with enough zing to make this dish a star.

Another trendy gaijin-friendly izakaya, but with real Japanese partners and staff in the kitchen and on the floor, dining at Izakaya Den seems like the real deal.

If you go to Singapore, you must grab some Chicken Rice from Tain Tain Hainanese! The queue was literally out the door...

A rotten week at work needs a good Friday evening. And thus it was - a quick beer in the Murderers', a viewing of the excellent Green Zone, then back to ours for good wine and fried eggy-weggys.

It's almost worth it.

Scavenge Challenge - Scavchal #20 - The speciality is spice. Spice jars, spices, spicy foods .... let's seem some flavour.

Not much in the spice cupboard, I tend to use a lot more herbs than spices!

Impromptu Dinner

More info. Ref: D1626-4590

I have never had sweet chilli sauce with any McDonald's product ever in my life. But there was something different about this sweet chilli sauce. This sauce definitely completed every meal we had at McDonald's. Delicious!

Bangkok, Thailand.

Made for dinner tonight and they were rather yumm, I even had Mr 'fussy pants with food' WT's approval!

So here is the recipe (makes 4 half pounders or 8 quarter pounders)

600g beef mince

1 red pepper finely chopped

1 medium onion finely chopped

2 dessertspoons of sweet chilli sauce

handful of breadcrumbs

Salt and pepper

place beef mince onion and pepper in bowl, mix through with hands, add the sweet chilli sauce some breadcrumbs and S&P and give it all a good mix through.

Shape into patties and grill.

Served in cheesy topped soft rolls with a slice of cheese and red onion and balsamic marmalade and some oven chips!
